Hi Shannon, I'd like to use your map at the following link: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Salinas_River_Map.jpg for a scientific manuscript I'm preparing for the open access journal Public Library of Science ONE. I'm describing bacteria I'm isolating from the watershed in the Salinas region, and I'd like to use your map as a base and indicate sampling regions within it. PLoS ONE will publish it (if accepted) under a Creative Commons Licence.

I request permission for the open-access journal PLOS ONE to publish XXX under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CCAL) CC BY 4.0 (http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/). Please be aware that this license allows unrestricted use and distribution, even commercially, by third parties. Please reply and provide explicit written permission to publish XXX under a CC BY license.

I'd be happy to allow the use of Salinas_River_Map.jpg. It is already published under Creative Commons 4.0, so there should be no licensing issues. Shanno n 16:52, 28 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
