Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Lordegan County, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bakhtiari. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Edit warring

[edit]

Hello. You seem to be engaged in what is known as edit warring. This is not helpful to Wikipedia. It is important that if your opinion and that of another editor's differ, that you discuss the matter on the Talk pages of the affected articles and make a good-faith effort to reach a consensus about what to do. You do not seem to be doing that. You also don't seem to be providing edit summaries to explain the motivations of your edits. That is also not helpful. Please try to learn more about Wikipedia etiquette and try to have a cooperative attitude while working here. —BarrelProof (talk) 06:51, 14 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This article try to introduce Feyli Kurds as Lurs. No Lur in Luristan , Charmahal va bakhtiari and Kohgeluieh va boyer ahmad in Iran consider himself as Feyli Kurd. All of them introduce themselves as Lur. Ilam and Kermanshah Kurds who had been under the control of Lur ruler for 4 centuries introduce theselves as Kurd. You can check wikipedia page for Kermanshah, Sarpolezahab,Ghasreshirin, Ilam, Islamabad, Gilanegharb , Eyvan , Malekshahi , Abdanan ,Sirvan and Chardavol. All of these regions didnt introduce themselves as Lur in Wikipedia page in contrast to what has been written in this page that Feylis introduce themselves as Lur. There is no Lurish clothing in above mentioned regions in contrast to what has been written in this page. in above mentioed regions some people use Kurdsih dress and some use Persian formal dress and no one dress Lurish dress. Lurish dress only is used in Luristan, Charmahal va Bakhtiari and Kohgiloieh and by some tribes (only some tribes ) in south of Ilam. Some tribes such as Shuhans, Selyverzis and Kaydkhordeh which comprise 10 % of Ilam province population. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 151.239.71.61 (talk) 11:43, 30 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

I've reverted you there for two reasons. One, the lead is a summary of the article, and your text wasn't discussed in the article. Just as or even more importantly, we shouldn't be telling readers what the most reasonable assumption is. That's original research. This is just part of the learning curve for new or inexperienced editors. Doug Weller talk 14:39, 24 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

And normally we don't say "Some historians" unless we are quoting a source that says that. We name them. See WP:WEASEL. Doug Weller talk 14:41, 24 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Kalhor (Iranian tribe) shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution

[edit]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one or more pages into History of the Lurs. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. The attribution has been provided for this situation, but if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for that duplication. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 17:36, 24 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Warning

[edit]

I realize that there may be a language barrier, but your reasoning for the reverts, which includes unsubstantiated casting of aspersions about ethnic-driven edits, are not good enough. You need to explain yourself in more detail if you're going to revert someone's edits wholesale. Saying something like your last edit summary: Pan Kurd users are reverting all pages for their desire wishes, please have a look to the history of their planned ethnocentric edits is not up to par. Indefinite block

[edit]

I have blocked you indefinitely for continuing with the "ethnocentric" personal attacks despite having been warned repeatedly about that. If you wish to appeal this block, please see the unblock template as well as directions on how to do best so. El_C 16:08, 7 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Comment : @El C: Hi, sorry for the bother. While i have disagreed with SHADEGAN's conduct in the past, an indefinite block sounds, in my humble opinion, a bit too harsh. I do not excuse personal attacks, but this editor has tried to help build an encyclopedia in the past. To be honest, i think that their misconduct should be sanctioned, but maybe a long block rather than an indefinite one would be more relevant here. However, i'm not an admin and the decision is yours. Wish you a great rest of your day.---Wikaviani (talk) (contribs) 03:45, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
An indefinite block is not necessarily infinite. If the unblock appeal is convincing, I or another admin are likely to unblock, immediately. The problem is that Shadegan does not appear to listen, repeating the same personal attacks again and again, despite multiple warnings. The unblock appeals also fail to demonstrate they understand this. The option of unblocking for six months and ending right back at the same place as before, simply did not seem like a sensible way to approach this. El_C 04:02, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hmm, yeah, i get it. Thanks for your feedback. Shadegan, you need to demonstrate that you have understood why your conduct was misplaced. Best.---Wikaviani (talk) (contribs) 04:13, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Wikaviani, Thanks for your kind attention. I accept my fault and I  apologize for that. There is no doubt that my words were not good But if  you take a look to the edit history of discussed and current edits, there is evident that the term "ethnocentric edit" is not irrelevant  and a should not be considered as a personal attack. By the way I will change my strategy towards a peaceful manner.--SHADEGAN (talk) 18:49, 13 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hi, User  Ahmedo Semsûrî that his edit trends and orientations are completely evident, has changed the contents of different pages (please have a look to edit history of these pages Laks (Iran), Laki dialect, Feylis, Iraqi Lurs, Baghdadi Luri,Lurs) towards his ethnic edit desire and wishes. I tried a lot to stop this trend and edits but surprisingly it was me to be punished!! It is completely evident for me that a wikipedia administrator is behind his unrestrained edits and supports that user. Request reason:

I ask the authors and licensed users to unblock my account because I commitment to modify my upcoming edit issues. I have not been aware about the disputes and discussions method.SHADEGAN (talk) 13:10, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

This appears to be a deliberate attempt to waste our time with a pointless unblock request which does not address your personal attacks/harassment. Yamla (talk) 13:25, 5 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. Request reason:

Hi, I have read and accepted contents of WP:NOTTHEM and WP:GAB and I have requested several times to be unblocked. I do not know how to write in case to be accepted by administrators and other authorized users. Please somebody help me. SHADEGAN (talk) 12:22, 9 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Since you have once again completely failed to address the reason for the block, despite having had it pointed out to you repeatedly above, this appeal is declined. You appear to be either unable or unwilling to formulate an unblock appeal that actually deals with the problem, so I am revoking your talkpage access to prevent you wasting any more of our time.
