Welcome!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, Sgnyc01! I am T3chl0v3r and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome!

Thanks for the welcome! I need some help with deleting an old wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:CleanUpGirl/Siegel%2BGale) and getting the new one all set with references etc. How do I delete an old wikipedia page? all of this is REALLY new to me, and I don't have a huge wealth of knowledge on how wikipedia works, anything you think would be helpful would really be appreciated!

- You can't delete a page and start over. You have to be an admin to delete a page. Just click on "edit" and keep making changes until you're satisfied. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Many otters • One hammer • HELP) 14:12, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Can I request that an administrator delete the page that says User:CleanUpGirl/Siegel+Gale? That page should not be up at all.
- I placed {{db-author}} on it. Ten Pound Hammer and his otters • (Many otters • One hammer • HELP) 14:39, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Thank you...that User:CleanUpGirl page is what comes up when you Google Siegel+Gale, and not the page that has actual useful information. Do you have any suggestions as to some outside sources I could use to learn more about Wikipedia, editing, etc.? (Sgnyc01 (talk) 14:44, 8 May 2009 (UTC))
