Re: Long word
[edit]Hi. I came across it in the Guiness Book of World Records, 2006 edition, Arts & Entertainment section, in a subsection called "Language". I believe it is on pg. 143, but I'm not sure of that. It's the bottom-most word, in Swedish, in a table under a picture of a Klingon. However, the real word has accents. Is there a particular reason you're asking? Thanks. ~AH1(TCU) 20:41, 15 October 2008 (UTC)

Spam in Carbon Purging
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Carbon Purging, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Carbon Purging is blatant advertising for a company, product, group, service or person that would require a substantial rewrite in order to become an encyclopedia article.
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Carbon Purging, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. To see the user who deleted the page, click here CSDWarnBot (talk) 23:50, 17 December 2008 (UTC)
- Hi, I have submitted the Carbon Purging article to an Articles for Deletion discussion. There is a link on the article page. Let me know if you have any questions. ChildofMidnight (talk) 20:40, 18 December 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Carbon Purging
[edit]A tag has been placed on Carbon Purging requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.) or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Equazcion •✗/C • 23:12, 28 Dec 2008 (UTC) 23:12, 28 December 2008 (UTC)
- If and when there is some substantial independent coverage of this subject, you can ask the Admin who deletes it (assuming it gets deleted) to recreate the article for you in your user space. In fact you don't even have to wait, and if it's deleted you can ask it be recreated in your userspace so you can work on it. Then when it's ready you can reintroduce it. ChildofMidnight (talk) 02:03, 30 December 2008 (UTC)
The article has been assessed by WP:CITIES as start-class, low-importance. Comments have been left on the article talk page. Dr. Cash (talk) 16:40, 25 February 2009 (UTC)
If you would go back to the Al Kaprielian page that you created you could very easily add citations to articles that explain why he is notable. It is not at all difficult to do. Otherwise the article may be taken down.Historicist (talk) 21:44, 4 June 2009 (UTC)
- I thought the article was pretty self-explanatory. Clearly people have nothing better to do with their time than AFD stuff to death. Sewnmouthsecret (talk) 20:32, 29 June 2009 (UTC)
- I did my research before I nominated it. I still don't feel he is notable. We differ in opinions and that's ok with me. What is not ok with me is you coming to my talk page and lecturing me like some annoyed parent. If you can't address me as an equal, don't post on my page again. Niteshift36 (talk) 03:56, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
- Clearly you didn't research enough. I don't see how you can "feel" he's not notable, but it doesn't matter; the article stays. I will address you as an equal when you act like an equal. Sewnmouthsecret (talk) 18:18, 30 June 2009 (UTC)
An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Snowzilla. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Snowzilla. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:08, 17 March 2010 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free image File:150 px bali.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading File:150 px bali.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 04:42, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

The article Snowzilla has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No reliable sources.
No claim to notability. BLP concern related to Billy Powers. At best a local news item in a small town, if it is not a hoax.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Kiefer.Wolfowitz 16:13, 15 January 2013 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
