Welcome to Wikipedia!
[edit]Hello, Seru Mun, and welcome to Wikipedia!
Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Tips on starting your first article
- Help pages
- Tutorial
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Remember that talk pages, such as Talk:MapleStory DS are for discussions related to improving the article, and not general discussion about the topic.
If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question, ask me on my talk page, or type {{helpme}}
here on your talk page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Again, welcome! -- Skyezx (talk) 21:17, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia! I am glad to see you are interested in discussing a topic. However, as a general rule, talk pages such as Talk:Death Note are for discussion related to improving the article, not general discussion about the topic. If you have specific questions about certain topics, consider visiting our reference desk and asking them there instead of on article talk pages. Thank you. -- Collectonian (talk · contribs) 20:33, 14 June 2008 (UTC)

Re: I need some help!
[edit]Hi there. What specifically do you need help with? Your comment was unclear, so I don't know how I can help you. Please explain so I can try my best to help you.– Skyezxmessage 04:18, 9 September 2008 (UTC) I don't know exactly what is important in a dicussion. And I would like to make a article but, Wikipedia has got almost everything.--Seru Mun (talk) 02:03, 10 September 2008 (UTC)
- Hello there. Sorry the reply took so long. Talk or discussion pages would depend on the articlespace it is found on. On User pages such as this one, talk pages are used to communicate with editors individually. These should be used primarily to discuss matters concerning Wikipedia and not be treated like a social networking site. Talk pages on article pages are used to discuss the ways to improve the article. They should not be used for general discussion about the topic (e.g. whether you like it or not). See WP:TALK for a longer discription.
- Have you taken a look at Wikipedia:Your first article or Wikipedia:Article development? There are indeed many topics already covered by Wikipedia, but perhaps you can create an article from topics listed at WP:RA. However, remember to cite reliable sources when you're adding content. It may be hard to begin a new article, but there are other ways to contribute to the encyclopedia besides creating new articles. You can contribute to existing stubs and expand them. Other things can as minor as checking articles for proper spelling or proper formatting. If you are particularly interested in certain subjects, you can also get involved in a WikiProject and help build articles together with other people. Try doing these different things and I'm sure you'll find a niche that you'll feel comfortable in contributing.
- By the way, you can use the colon, or ":" to indent replies on talk pages. For more help on Wiki markup, take a look at Help:Editing. =) – Skyezxmessage 07:58, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
