Show preview

[edit]

Hey Abogarp. I save almost as I type so I don't loose the info in case anything happens to the computer, or if I loose the page! Thanks for the observation anyway. Cheers!. SS

Hola Sergio sanchez,

I've noticed you have been doing many edits to article Monterrey. I´ve also noticed that you are not using the tools that Wikipedia provides for editing: Instead of using the "Show preview" button it seems to me that you are only using the "Save page" button.

When editing an article it is much better to be checking your edits (how they look, etc..) by using the Show preview button and only at the end, after you have finished with all of your contributions to an article then we can press the Save page button. (I dont know if there is a rule for this in Wikipedia but take this as a recommendation)

Only today you have made 12 different entries to article Monterrey and within four minutes you made 4 edits (6:47, 6:48, 6:48 and 6:50).

Request for edit summary

[edit]

Hi. I am a bot, and I am writing to you with a request. I would like to ask you, if possible, to use edit summaries a bit more often when you contribute. The reason an edit summary is important is because it allows your fellow contributors to understand what you changed; you can think of it as the "Subject:" line in an email. For your information, your current edit summary usage is 1% for major edits and 50% for minor edits. (Based on the last 129 major and 2 minor edits in the article namespace.)

This is just a suggestion, and I hope that I did not appear impolite. You do not need to reply to this message, but if you would like to give me feedback, you can do so at the feedback page. Thank you, and happy edits, Mathbot 06:00, 2 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading Image:Uaaanlogo.jpg. However, the image may soon be deleted unless we can determine the copyright holder and copyright status. The Wikimedia Foundation is very careful about the images included in Wikipedia because of copyright law (see Wikipedia's Copyright policy).

The copyright holder is usually the creator, the creator's employer, or the last person who was transferred ownership rights. Copyright information on images is signified using copyright templates. The three basic license types on Wikipedia are open content, public domain, and fair use. Find the appropriate template in Wikipedia:Image copyright tags and place it on the image page like this: {{TemplateName}}.

Please signify the copyright information on any other images you have uploaded or will upload. Remember that images without this important information can be deleted by an administrator. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me, or ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. 82.83.65.227 09:50, 18 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

NowCommons: File:Herpomyces.jpg

[edit]

File:Herpomyces.jpg is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Herpomyces micrograph.jpg. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:Herpomyces micrograph.jpg]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 08:26, 28 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
