Juliancolton's RFB

[edit]

Hi there. Since I find the reasons for your !vote a bit difficult to understand, would you mind elaborating on how Julian's behavior was incorrect on that RFB's talk page? In case you are wondering, the reason I'm asking you to clarify there is because I don't think it's a good idea to drag this discussion away from the RFB but you are of course welcome to answer wherever you wish (or not at all). Thanks in advance SoWhy 16:39, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not exactly sure what you're asking? I didn't say anything about the RfB talk page *is puzzled*. Seraphim 17:03, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Just read your question at the RfB. I understand what you mean now. It's not that his behaviour was in any way incorrect. I can't really elaborate any further because I'm just on my way out. Seraphim 17:03, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No need to do it now, I'm happy to read it whenever you have the time (and if you choose to provide it). I'm just interested to understand your reasoning, so there is no need to hurry at all. Regards SoWhy 17:08, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Basically, I've watched those areas for some time and in the period of time that Julian has contributed there (and in other places too in regards to cratship), I've just got a feeling that I can't trust him for that role. Something he said or did, I can't remember. I can't support someone unless they have my full trust and with b-cratship, we have enough 'crats that I feel comfortable with being a little more picky than normal. So whilst my vote, I suppose, is more of a gut feeling based on what I've seen at some point, I maintain it for the reasons given. Seraphim 23:30, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
As is your right to do so. I was merely wondering whether you saw him make any mistakes I might have overlooked, so thanks for the clarification. Regards SoWhy 11:46, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Duran Duran audio article

[edit]

Are you still doing the audio article for Duran Duran? LA @ 23:26, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

She still hasn't uploaded it? I remember her talking about that over a year ago. I think she's probably forgotten it under a pile of other stuff to do. Sceptre (talk) 06:57, 3 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Oh God, I forgot. And I left the tag on the article's talk page *facepalm*. Life got in the way I suppose. Sorry Aleena, I'm not going to be working on it any more. Seraphim 16:58, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Don't beat yourself up over it. Life happens. If you haven't already removed the message about you doing it, I will take care of it. LA If you reply here, please leave me a {{Talkback}} message on my talk page. @ 18:44, 4 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Made in the Dark

[edit]

Hi Seraphim,
thanks for the featured Made in the Dark article (and its singles)! I just went to look something up and expected to find stubs, but look and behold. Probably shows that I don't know much about the band, didn't realize they were that popular, but anyway, nice articles!
Cheers, Amalthea 12:51, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank-you - that's very kind of you to say. Always good to hear that an article you've written is appreciated by someone :). Seraphim 23:48, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Replied at my talk page. Thanks so much! Cirt (talk) 12:30, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nice to see you back

[edit]

If you need any help getting One Life Stand to GA or FA let me know. I've gotten pretty good at it during the past year and I'd be glad to help. PRB88 (T) 22:49, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks, I might take you up on that :). You know what would be brilliant? One of the comments I got at the FAC for Made in the Dark was that the article needed to be copy-edited by someone distant from the writing. When I've got a bit more done, could I call on you to go over it? Or point out the types of errors? I'm a terrible copy-editor and my comma use is abominable. I'd like to get this to FA quality eventually. Also, the article is missing a critical reception section... if you'd like to write that? Seraphim 23:41, 9 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I would definitely help. Let me know when you're done. But, I'm not sure if I have time to write a critical reception section. You can easily use my brand-spanking new Odd Blood work as a template however. I've honed it over a lot of FAs. ;) PRB88 (T) 18:13, 10 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I might start on it again as of Monday or Tuesday. I've been a little busy of late! :D I'll let you know when it's "done" :) (haha, when are articles ever done?) Seraphim 16:25, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Said reviewer—if it wasn't me—was right; the writing on my Russell T Davies needs some polishing, so my two options are to either a) leave it for a week or two, or b) get someone else to copyedit it; just sticking on it for a long period of time makes you unable to critique your own writing.
