Hi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Ged Nash you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Message delivered by ChristieBot, on behalf of Mike Christie -- Mike Christie (talk) 11:43, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
Question from WeightsAndMeasures (11:37, 22 July 2024)
Hi, I just created a load of content on my sandbox and its just disappeared with a miss click. Might it have been saved somewhere? Thank you! --WeightsAndMeasures (talk) 11:37, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hey @WeightsAndMeasures:, I'm afraid there isn't anything showing up on your publicly available contributions (where it'd usually be saved). I would say if you go into your sandbox and try editing it again, it might show up as an unsaved change, but beyond that it may have been lost. ser! - Is there a step I'm missing? Like hitting a save button I've not seen? WeightsAndMeasures (talk) 11:41, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
- If you hit "Publish changes" it'll keep the content there, but in Wikipedia's editor I don't think there's any sort of save function. Sometimes when I'm using the visual editor content will autosave but it doesn't always happen. ser! (chat to me - see my edits) 11:43, 22 July 2024 (UTC)

Question from Talthiel
Hello Ser, I am still sorta a novice with wikipedia, at least for the more technical and administrative things, and I have found an article which I believe should be nominated for deletion. Now this article has been nominated (and closed with a decision to keep) in the past, but I believe a discussion should be reopened regarding this individual and I am still unsure how to open discussions for deletion or renominate an article for deletion. Talthiel (talk) 19:28, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hey @Talthiel:, so firstly I would ask how recently this deletion discussion happened - it's generally considered good practice to wait at least a few months before starting a discussion on an article for which consensus was found to keep unless something very drastic has changed. In terms of filing the actual report, I usually use Twinkle (you can enable it in your preferences) and there's an illustrated guide at WP:AFDHOWTO - it saves me a lot of time rather than creating each individual page! In terms of the content of the report, just outline why you think the person does not meet notability guidelines - broadly speaking WP:GNG is a good one to note and if it's in a political field, note WP:NPOL and why the person may not meet this guideline. Hope this helps! ser! (chat to me - see my edits) 19:50, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the detailed response! From reading the older discussion it was back from around 2021 and it reached no consensus on the topic, I will keep this all in mind when I open a new AFD. Talthiel (talk) 12:56, 30 July 2024 (UTC)
