May 2018

[edit]

Hello, I'm Jim1138. I noticed that in this edit to Santo Bambino of Aracoeli, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jim1138 (talk) 02:17, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Our Lady of Akita, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Vatican (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:19, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please adhere to the Manual of Style

[edit]

Please stop adding <small> to infobox captions and other fields. This is in violation of the Wikipedia Manual of Style. Firstly, if a font is to be scaled, it needs to be specified as a percentage, not an absolute. Second and more importantly, it is rarely necessary to scale fonts such as this, and it makes it hostile to users trying to read them. Allow the infobox templates to do their work and they will select the appropriate fonts. 2600:8800:1880:91E:5604:A6FF:FE38:4B26 (talk) 18:26, 29 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/TreasureIslandMediaBoss, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for using an account and IP editing to edit war, after having been blocked for doing precisely the same thing with another account. It also seems likely that you have abused other accounts an IP addresses.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text at the bottom of the talk page of your original account: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 21:10, 21 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I now see that this appears to be one of many sockpuppets used by one person over a prolonged period. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 20:58, 22 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
