Stone Sour & Static-X
[edit]The Stone Sour link is broken because the site changed it's name. It's been fixed now.
Static-X also have several sources citing them as nu metal in their "styles" section.
On wikipedia we go with sources, regardless of editor opinion. Trust me, I've tried making convincing and logical arguments before: they're worthless on here. All that matters is sources. And in this case we have sources for nu metal.
Of course, we also go with source consensus: if you could find lots more sources for each that -don't- give nu metal as a genre, you might have a case. But for now there isn't enough weight on that side.
Obviously I won't push sources when I don't happen to agree with them anyway. But in this particular case I do, I feel both bands have enough nu metal traits to their music (which isn't, for what it's worth, a put-down, I'm a big fan of both bands). But my opinion doesn't enter into it, nor does anyone elses. Prophaniti (talk) 08:37, 7 November 2008 (UTC)
Re: Tribe of Gypsies
[edit]I'm unfamiliar with the subject, so I couldn't say for certain if it meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines. I deleted the page under CSD A7, as it failed to assert notability. If you can address this issue and dig up sufficient reliable sources to establish notability, then yes, the article can be recreated.
