Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!
While we appreciate that you enjoy using Wikipedia, please note that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and not a social network. Wikipedia is not a place to socialize or do things that are not directly related to improving the encyclopedia, as you did at User:Sellick666. Off-topic material may be deleted at any time. This message is not meant to discourage you from editing Wikipedia but rather to remind you that the ultimate goal of this website is to build an encyclopedia. Thank you. --Calton | Talk 14:14, 1 January 2008 (UTC)
I see that Calton has recently blanked your user page referring to you as a "non-editor" in his edit summary. I see that you HAVE, in fact, contributed to articles in the encyclopedia and I have restored your page - minus the profanity, which just isn't appropropriate on Wikipedia. Calton is correct in cautioning you that Wikipedia is not a "social network" like "My Space" or other similar sites. Unfortunately, he has chosen to relay a valid message in a very uncivil manner by blanking your user space. I do appologize for Calton's hostile approach. It is obvious to me that you are probably a minor and I can't imagine why Calton would be so unneccessarily abrasive with you. I would suggest that you focus your energies here on editing articles in the encyclopedia and discussing your interests as an editor on your user page. Your legitimate contributions to the encyclopedia are most welcome. Please, try to steer clear of profanity, however! :) Best Regards! MegaMom (talk) 05:16, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
