[edit]Really interesting read! I like the organization of sections, and the extensive inclusion of primary sources. Elaboration of certain points, like the mention of Livia's association with the cult of Concordia, might be interesting for a reader. If there is evidence, further explanation of the portico plan - architectural style, portico-complex layout, etc.

[edit]- In your intro, I would switch the order of the people the hypogeum is named after, i.e., put Vibia first, "and her husband Vincentius..." to make that name connection a bit more obvious.
- Hypogeum vs. hypogea -- singular vs. plural? Be consistent, with respect to verb tense.
- Accompanying inscriptions for the paintings generally or for the ones of the deceased figures, like identifying labels?
- I like your distinction between the hypogeum and catacombs -- very helpful!
- You list intent to include other examples of nearby burials, so you may also want to consider other examples of hypogea for reference.
- For your rediscovery portion--were these chambers known earlier? Elaborate.
