Non-free images in tables
[edit]Hi, unfortunately these aren't allowed, per WP:NFCC, as they are deemed to be overuse. That's why they were removed in the first place. If the mascot has its own article, a single image in that article is deemed to be OK. Black Kite (talk) 12:50, 2 July 2018 (UTC)
Thanks for the correction Selen578 (talk) 13:01, 2 July 2018 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of The Shift (newspaper)
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on The Shift (newspaper), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Havechin (talk) 15:02, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
Dear User:Havechin, Thank you for your review. I'm wondering why you think that the article is promotional? There is very little information about the newspaper in order to let the people to get instant information who are looking for this newspaper: what it is? when it was founded? who founded the website? how often and what it publishes? If the problem is with the references because I cited the website of the newspaper as a source, then you can raise Wikipedia:Identifying reliable sources or other issues. Selen578 (talk) 15:52, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
- The issue was with promotional, "talking-up" language. As some examples:
Denoting “less is better”,...
(don't regurgitate their mottos/slogans),The news covers important topics regarding freedom of press, cross-border corruption and other issues.
(don't refer to them as "important", and such a claim should be sourced to an independent source, not the organization's own site),The award-winning...
(there is essentially never a circumstance under which an article should refer to someone or something as "award-winning"; that's classic marketese). Wikipedia articles must be strictly neutral in tone and content, and must be primarily based upon sources that are reliable and independent, not on things the organization says about itself. Seraphimblade Talk to me 23:41, 16 May 2020 (UTC)
Dear User:Seraphimblade , thank you for the explanation. It is much clearer now. Selen578 (talk) 18:51, 22 May 2020 (UTC)

European Human Rights Advocacy Centre moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, European Human Rights Advocacy Centre, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. [edit]Do you have an affiliation with members of the government in Azerbaijan? What about the user 'Morgan369'[1]? Snooganssnoogans (talk) 21:10, 3 July 2021 (UTC)
The article List of tourist attractions in Ganja has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Policies violated by this page:
WP:NLIST Not all of the entries discussed as a set by independent reliable sources.
WP:NOTDIRECTORY "Simple listings without contextual information showing encyclopedic merit."WP:NOTGUIDE Wikipedia is not a travel guide. We have Wikitravel for that, and many of these pages could be recreated (or already are) there.
The core content policies are: 1) neutral point of view, 2) no original research and 3) verifiability. This page violages policies 2 and 3.
WP:VERIFY What are the criteria to meet to be in the list? This page has vague or no criteria. By definition, then, there is no way to verify the inclusion or exclusion of any particular site in the list.
WP:NOR Original research "includes any analysis or synthesis of published material that serves to reach or imply a conclusion not stated by the sources. To demonstrate that you are not adding original research, you must be able to cite reliable, published sources that are directly related to the topic of the article, and directly support the material being presented." Who says that each of the items in the list are tourist attractions? Given the lack of inclusion criteria, that's understandable, as there is no need to justify being in a list that doesn't have standards for inclusion. However, that also points to original research as being the source for inclusion.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — rsjaffe 🗣️ 02:36, 1 March 2022 (UTC)
