You are now a Reviewer

[edit]

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, is currently undergoing a two-month trial scheduled to end 15 August 2010.

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under pending changes. Pending changes is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial. The list of articles with pending changes awaiting review is located at Special:OldReviewedPages.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. Courcelles (talk) 18:32, 19 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Makeover of Portuguese football

[edit]

Hi there

You may have noticed that I am seeking to undertake a makeover of Portuguese football on Wikipedia. It will not happen over night and involves a lot of work. There are three issues that I would like to address concerning page titles of articles and wondered whether you are supportive:

1. We use the full club name e.g. Clube de Futebol União de Lamas and not the abbreviated version C.F. União de Lamas. However abbreviated versions of the name will be linked to the article.

2. In the season articles we use the Portuguese name e.g. 2011–12 Segunda Divisão and not 2011–12 Portuguese Second Division.

3. In the District Football Associations we use the Portuguese name e.g. Associação de Futebol de Aveiro and not Aveiro Football Association.

We can then place the change to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football as we do not currently have a Task Group.

It would also be helpful if you can advise on the criteria you use for the inclusion of Notable former players in club articles.

Kind regards League Octopus (League Octopus 10:45, 23 May 2012 (UTC)).[reply]

NB: Sent to Secretaria and Vasco Amaral. Are there any other prime editors covering Portuguese football?

Hello, Secretaria. You have new messages at League Octopus's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Obrigado, boa semana - --AL (talk) 01:55, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Boa semana - --AL (talk) 01:54, 28 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Feliz 2013 - --AL (talk) 23:48, 17 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Tiny Mills has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I don't think it's notable enough to warrant an article

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. UEFA coefficient

[edit]

Hi

Just wanted to let you know about a small mistake you made at UEFA coefficient that has now been corrected. You corrected the whole table and updated accessdate of source which was great. But the mistake you did was that you decreased number of teams for some countries even if no team got eliminated, they enter Europa League instead, so therefore the number of teams for each country stays the same. Just letting you know so that the same thing dont happen tommorrow, where no teams will be eliminated from Europe either. QED237 (talk) 21:39, 27 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

2016–17 Campeonato de Portugal

[edit]

Good evening. You have to pay attention to what you're doing when updating scores and tables. I noticed that on this matchday you were particularly quick in updating everything, but it was the week I detected most errors, some of them gross. Only on this matchday I found four wrong scores, influencing standings. Not to mention that you ignore the tiebreaking criteria every single week, and Zerozero.pt applies correctly those tiebreaking criteria. This time your updates were such a mess that I basically undid it all and made the update from scratch. Errors are hard to detect, especially on this competition. I'm not saying that you can't edit this article, but it's better to update later, but calmly and correctly, than editing in a hurry but poorly reviewed. That's why I usually update CdP on Monday, as I am busy with Primeira Liga and LigaPro on Sunday. Please take this as constructive criticism. ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

C&P move

[edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give F.C. Felgueiras a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into FC Felgueiras. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2018–19 Taça da Liga, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Faro, Oeiras and Mafra (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Invitation from Wikimedia Portugal

[edit]

(English below)

Agradecemos desde já!

Hi! Wikimedia Portugal is the Portuguese chapter of Wikimedia, founded in 2009 and recognized by the Wikimedia Foundation. Our mission is to contribute to the general dissemination of knowledge and culture through the incentive to the collection and creation of content without restrictions on use, modification and distribution, and promote their difusion; we promote and support the Wikimedia Foundation projects, among which Wikipedia, with emphasis on projects in Portuguese and Mirandese.

We would like however to count on the support of (and in turn ourselves support) all volunteers that are citizens, resident, or simply interested in Portugal. Despite being founded in 2009, the chapter has gone through a long period of inactivity that we are trying to overcome. We have sent you this message to invite you, if you are interested, to enroll as associate to the chapter, demonstrate your support to the existence of a chapter in Portugal, and get involved in the discussion of future activities by registering in the mailing list. Recentely, the Wikimedia Affiliations Committee suspended support to Wikimedia Portugal pending, among other things, the support from the community of portuguese editors. ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:09, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
