Navajo Nation
[edit]I see you reverted some of the changes fairly quickly. I will citate the land area changes utilizing census data. As for using the term bordered by various states I think that is appropriate. Mostly because state laws and regulations do not extend to Navajo Nation unless NN agrees to allow those laws and regulations to apply. NN citizens also are not taxed by the state if they both live and work on the NN. State and county law enforcement can enter into NN if an agreement has been signed or if there is an immediate threat. Of course, NN is under the laws of the US federal government. I wont make any "bordered" changes for the time being since that is a more complex discussion, but I will make further changes which can be cited from census data.

Completely new abortion proposal and mediation
[edit]In light of the seemingly endless disputes over their respective titles, a neutral mediator has crafted a proposal to rename the two major abortion articles (pro-life/anti-abortion movement, and pro-choice/abortion rights movement) to completely new names. The idea, which is located here, is currently open for opinions. As you have been a contributor in the past to at least one of the articles, your thoughts on the matter would be appreciated.
The hope is that, if a consensus can be reached on the article titles, the energy that has been spent debating the titles of the articles here and here can be better spent giving both articles some much needed improvement to their content. Please take some time to read the proposal and weigh in on the matter. Even if your opinion is simple indifference, that opinion would be valuable to have posted.
To avoid accusations that this posting violates WP:CANVASS, this posting is being made to every non-anon editor who has edited either page since 1 July 2010, irrespective of possible previous participation at the mediation page. HuskyHuskie (talk) 19:46, 4 July 2011 (UTC)

- Perhaps I am missing something here. I have not just undone the edit. I fixed it and then undid it. Subsequently, others had go at "rewording", and I've lost track of what has and what has not been done to the text, though I've noted garbling of the text, not by me. I give up. Okay
[edit]Thank you for explaining that. Should I remove the link for that movie again or just mind my own buisiness? (I'm clueless.) The link currently leads to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, which is not exactly a slasher movie, haha. --SensibleOxymoron (talk) 06:08, 10 July 2011 (UTC)

Hey so, I saw you redirected to the Richie Rich disambig page, but there's nothing written specifically on that page about her. Do you think there is like a 'list of Richie Rich characters' somewhere I could point it at? I tried looking to see if she was in any comics without Richie but it doesn't seem like it, hasn't had the focus of her own issues like the other Harvey girls. AweCo (talk) 18:12, 12 July 2011 (UTC)
Re:just checking
[edit]Technically no. I've been using this javascript for the past year or two, and this conversation obviously has come up before. But I've come to see that it does not constitute a bot, therefore it does not require the necessities that come with the title. Bugboy52.4 ¦ =-= 05:31, 16 July 2011 (UTC)
Hello Seb az86556, on my talk page, another editor has questioned the wisdom of my actions regarding the full protection of Nicosia; I'd like to hear your opinion on the matter, before making a decision. Your GA nomination of Arizona SB 1070
[edit]Hello, I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know I am glad to be reviewing the article Arizona SB 1070 you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. Because there are so many nominators, I request that any communication be centralized at either Talk:Arizona SB 1070/GA1 (when it applies to the review) or my own talk page (when it's about me specifically). Thanks! – Quadell (talk) 14:30, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
- Notice: I have reviewed the article and placed it On hold until issues are addressed. All the best, – Quadell (talk) 20:26, 21 July 2011 (UTC)
I'd like to make a personal appeal, to ask for your help. Wikipedia is all about having good articles on a wide variety of topics. Unfortunately there aren't enough reviewers, so WP:GAN always has a backlog. For long and controversial articles especially, it's hard to find someone willing to spend the time to study an article, check sources, and offer detailed suggestions. This is why Arizona SB 1070 sat on the shelf for two and a half months. I thought that was a shame, so I stepped up to review it.
Sometimes the review process can be difficult for all parties. But when nominators drop out of the process, it feels like all the time was wasted. It discourages other reviewers from being willing to tackle tough GANs, and increases the backlog. I'd like to continue working with you on the nomination, if you're willing to do so. I believe that if we can assume good faith and compromise, we can get this important article up to GA status. Are you willing to do this? All the best, – Quadell (talk) 15:02, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- Well.. I was away for a while. Maybe there'll be another chance in the future. Thank you. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 01:10, 30 July 2011 (UTC)

The old native Indian language of the Indian natives of old is still spoken
[edit]A couple of years ago I used Google to try to find every incidence of that in en.wp and fix it to refer to the language in question. I think I must've replaced about 100 separate instances. Unfortunately, it's a bit tough since many references to "Indian language" are to languages of India, so you have to sort through all those to find the ones that need changing. --ಠ_ಠ node.ue ಠ_ಠ (talk) 07:10, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
Loot a racist word?
[edit]How is loot a racist word? I'm trying to assume WP:AGF here, assuming you are not trying to "start something" because you may not agree with what I am saying generally about Europeans claiming to be of Native American descent for reasons of greed. Which most were in my area. Student7 (talk) 12:14, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- Loot (noun)=Goods obtained through theft, robbery. Loot (verb)=to steal through riot or other group violence. Your statement="Native Americans are violence-prone thieves."
- This is a common statement/belief in my neck of the woods (AZ, NM). Maybe it's a matter of geographics? Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 12:19, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- How about stretching use of the word to people of European descent with fake native credentials taking money from tourists who are gambling? And, BTW, losing, since that is what gamblers do. Student7 (talk) 12:36, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
- As I said, maybe a matter of geographics; there aren't too many "fake Indians" here. I agree that those who pursue the resulting revenue by using false claims are indeed despicable. Nonetheless, that doesn't make all revenue from casinos or other facilities "loot," "swag," or "booty." Legitimate recipients cannot be accused of benefiting unlawfully. - Perhaps we can have different opinions on that?
- I would appreciate it if you would remove the "racist" remark from the discussion page of the general article. I would hope that people can hold differing opinions without name calling. Thanks. Student7 (talk) 21:46, 25 July 2011 (UTC)
