Barack Obama
[edit]I created the AfD for the pres. this morning as it is bad luck to play April Fools after noon as it is now in the UK. If you're in the States you still have a few hours for spoofing. SmokeyTheCat •TALK• 11:34, 1 April 2010 (UTC)

Sticky prods
[edit]Hi. You participated earlier in the sticky prod workshop. The sticky prods are now in use, but there are still a few points of contention.
There are now a few proposals on the table to conclude the process.
I encourage your input, whatever it might be. Thanks. Maurreen (talk) 16:14, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
South Korea Map
[edit]Hello, the users at south korea talk page wants the image be improved in terms of resolutions, details etc. Do you think there is any problem with this file as a country map? If there is please let me know and it would be thankful if you can make alterations.--Kingj123 (talk) 22:25, 6 April 2010 (UTC)
- I would replace "the users" with "Kingj123"; no one else has taken a strong stance either way. Personally, I don't have much of an opinion. rʨanaɢ (talk) 03:33, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
- thanks. I thought so. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 03:43, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
Bulgars
[edit]you gave me a warning but the article "Bulgars" is vandalised by the user Scheludko. the reliable sources of articles has been moved in the entrance. those have had academic values. how can i bring those back? because i would be out of wiki in my first attempt. btw why do you gave me a "warning"? because im the protector of the page.--Finn Diesel (talk) 23:54, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
- You were edit-warring; that's why I gave you the warning, and that warning stands. If you revert again, you will be reported. Now go use the article's talkpage to convince everybody else. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 23:56, 8 April 2010 (UTC)
ok, thank you. but the attacker of the page User:Scheludko is not warned. i think its the policy of wikipedia, i think thats why people dont like to write in wiki. i think people like me should pray for protect from god or somewhere else.--Finn Diesel (talk) 00:02, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- you can try that. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 00:05, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
July 2009 Ürümqi riots
[edit]"The first day's rioting, which involved at least 1,000 Uyghurs,[6] began as a protest but later escalated into violent attacks which mainly targeted Han ("ethnic Chinese") people"
i was in Urumçi the day when the riots begin, first of all han chinese people are racist as hell, Uyghurs were targeted by both chinese police and its racist "han" nation. those hate Uyghurs because Uyghurs are the only Liberal and non-communist ethnic group in china. the second day i returned to my homeland Turkey, because it was a short journey. the total death is over +1000 and those are mostly Uyghur civilians.--Finn Diesel (talk) 00:11, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- Take it to the article's talkpage. thanks. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 00:12, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
Pakistan Clamps Down
[edit]I am inserting relevant and well-referenced materials. If you delete without good reason, I will report it as vandalism.
You are advised to revert your undo. Yewhock (talk) 03:00, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
According to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Vandalism
"Any good-faith effort to improve the encyclopedia, even if misguided or ill-considered, is not vandalism."
On the other hand, you have done nothing to improve what I wrote. Just by deleting, that's VANDALISM. You are welcome to improve on what I have added. Yewhock (talk) 03:20, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
- Yewhock, perhaps you should read What vandalism is not a little more carefully, instead of just pretending to read it. It specifically says that content disputes are not vandalism. Crying "vandalism" every time someone does something you don't like is not conducive to the project and is, frankly, immature. rʨanaɢ (talk) 03:39, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
- In addition, you were asked to participate @ the relevant talkpage. Furthermore, I advise you to read WP:3RR. Thank you so much. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 04:49, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
You have recently participated in discussion at an AFD for a broadcast station. I have recently posted the above topic on the talk page of the notability guideline for organizations and companies, to see if there is interest in adding language related to the notability of radio and TV broadcast stations to that guideline. Your input would be most welcome. Thanks. Edison (talk) 01:46, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
- I cannot recall which AfD you're referring to, but thanks anyways... Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 01:59, 9 April 2010 (UTC)
SA
[edit]You are correct. I discovered my mistake and was in the midst of correcting it.
--UnicornTapestry (talk) 05:14, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
- I know Americans like to Americanise, but if we're talking about languages, we should use the language names and not the peoples and territories, shouldn't we?
- --UnicornTapestry (talk) 06:42, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
- We've had that discussion before. The gist of it is that we say German and not Deutsch, and French rather than francais... Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 06:44, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
- My understanding is we're supposed to use the English of the land, that is British English whilst talking about the UK and American English whilst talking about the USA. We're talking SA English and these are the actual names. We don't say Mexican speak Mexican or Canadians speak Canadian. South Africans (in English) say IsiZulu. (See reference to see how it's used in SA.)
- What do you think? --UnicornTapestry (talk) 06:49, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
- There are more links at the discussion I gave you; moreover, having lived in South Africa, I personally have never heard an Anglo-African say isiZulu (in 3 years). It's simply Zulu. Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 06:51, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
- Here is what you might call a Chambre of Commerce document from SA's outreach: http://www.southafrica.info/about/people/language.htm
- Do you happen to have a South African Concise Oxford Dictionary at hand?
- I've seen it. The consensus at the last RfC was that as long as there are sources for both (which there obviously are), we should stick to the common English names (see comment by htonl in discussion above); if and when one day the majority of people start saying isiZulu in everyday life, then yes, we'll change it.
As a side, the corresponding articles' names are Zulu language, Xhosa language and so forth, similar to German language and French language.

- (ec) no, I don't have that dictionary, but I can tell you that all dic's published by Pharos (Cape Town) say "Zulu." Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 07:00, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
Marking edits on Wikipedia:Introduction as vandalism
[edit]Hi, this isn't vandalism but rather a test edit. If you click edit you'll see a comment: "Feel free to change the text below this line. No profanity, please." There's a bot which reverts these edits every 5 minutes but it's down at the moment. --NeilN talk to me 13:05, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
- OOPS. yepp... asleep at the wheel for second. Feel free to trout me... Choyoołʼįįhí:Seb az86556 > haneʼ 13:06, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
- No worries. That editor's other contribution wasn't exactly constructive. --NeilN talk to me 13:08, 24 April 2010 (UTC)
