Just to clear things up - Image:Sebas.jpg, that's you, yes? And <legal language>>do you release it under the terms of the GFDL, just like all contributions to Wikipedia</legal language>? DS 12:30, 24 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

  • (By the way, when you leave a message on someone's talk page, you should always sign it with ~~~~.) Now, as for legalities: a photo that you took, or that someone else took for you with your own camera, that should always be all right. You can release it under the GFDL, or the Creative Commons License, or as public domain... I'm not 100% clear on the legalities, there are other people on WP you can ask, but I know that if it's yours then you can do what you want with it, including make it freely available. I also strongly suggest that you shrink the picture down somewhat, so it's not so HUGE, and a description of what the photo is - "User:Seb147 at the World Snooker Championship in Ireland, 2004" or something - would be a good idea. Contributions to Snooker

Ah, I think I see. You're upset because your Notable Players have been deleted, is that it?

The good news is they can all be restored. However, the list might get trimmed again if someone disagrees that they're all Notable. Maybe if you trimmed the list pre-emptively? Try to forestall the other guy's objections?

We don't want an Edit War, after all - those are always unpleasant for everyone involved. DS 11:43, 28 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]
