==License tagging for Image:Black Seahorse 1.jpg==

Thanks for uploading Image:Black Seahorse 1.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:04, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

World War 2 WikiProject

[edit]

Hi there. I was reading your post on the New User Log and thought you might be interested in the World War II WikiProject. That project is dedicated to creating new and improving existing articles on World War II subject matters. All the best. - Akamad 23:19, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi SeahorseBlue! My dad was a WWII vet in Europe. Thankfully he returned but like you I know little about his unit. You have given me a great idea to do the same with his unit. Anyway, best of luck on finding the information you need. Please let me know if I can help! JBEvans 13:47, 16 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome

[edit]

Dave, welcome to Wikipedia. I came across your user page and it seems we have a common interest in Marine Corps aviation. For the past 2 years myself and a few other editors have been working on USMC aviation related articles. The ones that interest you the most will most likely be found here. I have a section on the VMB squadrons further down the page. I noticed that you were putting together a page for VMB-611 in you sandbox. Please take a look at some of the other squadron pages for layout and content ideas. No need to reinvent the wheel if you do not have to. Also, we are always looking for new contributors to help us out over at the USMC Portal as well. Have a look and help out where you can if interested. Look forward to seeing your edits around and if there is any help I can provide please let me know. Cheers--Looper5920 23:07, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
