Thanks for the great NASL additions. I'm a soccer fan (albeit post-NASL days) so I like to see this stuff documented. My addition of
to your section isn't intended to delegitimize your contributions which I think are very constructive; rather, I just hope the marker will spur someone (possibly you) to document the sources for some of the potentially controversial NFL-vs-NASL stuff. - Cheers, PhilipR 19:21, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
Your edits to David Beckham
[edit]Please stop using the website "sdmlsproject.com" as a reference source. This is a fan-run website that provides no indication that it has the rights to reproduce the linked copyright article. Furthermore, the article is available legally on news websites that meet Wikipedia's standards for reliable sources, so there is no reason to use it as a reference. --Muchness 17:20, 12 January 2007 (UTC)
David Beckham
[edit]Is it really beyond your understanding to appreciate that although a contract has been signed with LA Galaxy it does not take effect until his existing contract with Real Madrid expires on 30 June? Until then it is totally incorrect to describe him as a Galaxy player, or to include Galaxy in the infobox. Any attempt to do so will be removed, and you run a high risk of being blocked from editing. -- Arwel (talk) 23:18, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
DB and soccer (football) and football (soccer)
[edit]On reviewing your changes to the Article David Beckham, I am los as to why you chaned the compromise of "football (soccer)" to soccer (football). The article to which it is directing is labelled football (soccer), and the article is clearly mainly written in British English. In order to conform to British English standards, and appease most editors, the compromise of "football (soccer)" was reached. It seems appropriate that this be kept, as the main subject page itself is labelled "football (soccer)", and it is known as football in the majority of the world. This seems a pointless and confrntational edit. Sorry if I repeated myself there, it's late. Cheers Toon 01:00, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit]My removal of those threads was not inadvertant nor should you have undone me with a minor edit. All of those discussions were started by accounts that made no other edits, nor were they helpful to the primary point of the page. Do not restore those discussions, again.—Ryūlóng (竜龍) 01:11, 19 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Why exactly did you revert all the work I just did cleaning up the David Beckham article? The SuperLiga is NOT a MLS league match, I had several useful wikilinks to other articles (CF Pachuca, etc). Either this was a lazy revert (for reasons unknown) or do you have some rational explanation for why you would remove this. It took a while to do all that and is VERY irritating for someone to revert for no apparent reason!--otduff t/c 06:07, 16 August 2007 (UTC)
Hi, I notice you are doing a lot of good work on the David Beckham article. One suggestion I would make is using the Cite web template when adding references. The problem with just adding the URL is that it means it can break the page as it trails off the margin. Cite web keeps the references tidy. All you have to do is copy and paste the one of the sections on the template page and add the reference info. Dave101→talk 10:03, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
