Request for undeletion of the article Josh Jauncey

[edit]

Hi,

I just got back from France after creating my brother Josh Jauncey's wikipedia page, and now it has been deleted. Half the kickboxers he has beat have pages, and he is ranked #4 in the world on the Glory website (which is still the biggest kickboxing Organization in the world at this time. He is also the WKL north american champion and many more,

Is it possible to to reverse this deletion so it can be updated with all his new info? if not what more do i need to reference to make it work? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Scrumply (talkcontribs) 18:36, 9 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
Firstly you should read Wikipedia's conflict of interest policy and in particular the Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#You and your circle section, which explains you should not write about articles where you have a personal connection with the subject of the article, such as a family member.
As such I would first say that per what you say above that you should not be writing an article about Josh Jauncey. Secondly the article was deleted per the discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Josh Jauncey where the consensus was that the article did not meet wikipedia's notability guideline for this area - WP:KICKGUIDE and did not receive significant coverage in reliable secondary sources. If someone without a conflict of interest wanted to write an article again about Josh Jauncey they would need to bring forward new evidence to demonstrate the notability guidelines are met.
