WA Chief Commissioner
[edit]I am not picking on you, but do you have a source for changing the name? It always worries me when names of people in positions like this are changed. These are real living people, and we need to be clear we have it right. Personally I prefer not have names of State Commissioners, County Commissioners (in UK) and District Commissioners for that reason. If there is a source, we can add it. BTW, did you see my suggestion on Talk:Scouting and Guiding in Australia and the Scouting Project to retitle the State/Territory Scouting artciles to cover Guiding. Could you help with that? --Bduke (Discussion) 04:31, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
- I have added a source. The Western Australian Branch website has the new branch commisioner on it. I only replaced it, I didnt add it in. If you don't think its neccesary, then I can remove it. What would you like me to do with adding the Guides into the scouting articles. Cheers! Scoutfromaus (talk) 13:56, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
- OK, let us leave the name there, but I am always doubtful about giving names of people who are not notable enough to have an article on them. On Guides in these State/Territory articles, I started the process by doing the NT which I know about and which is the smallest. It is now Scouting and Guiding in the Northern Territory. I altered the lead, left the section on history with the hope that Guide stuff can be added there, made the next section header reflect it was only on Scouting, moved the SA infobox there and then added a section on Guiding. How that will work with the others, I do not know. Have a go at WA and I'll have a go at Victoria. --Bduke (Discussion) 22:30, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
Scouting in Western Australia
[edit]I saw your comment about people only editing their own Group material. Too true. The problem is lack of sources. Can you find any sources for this article? It is full of unreferenced statements. --Bduke (Discussion) 21:58, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
