Managing a conflict of interest
[edit]Hello, Scottpearce1976. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Jiwa Financials, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.
All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.
If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:
- Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
- Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
- Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
- Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.
Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Widefox; talk 23:36, 21 October 2014 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not add promotional material to Wikipedia, as you did to Jiva (disambiguation). While objective prose about beliefs, products or services is acceptable, Wikipedia is not intended to be a vehicle for soapboxing, advertising or promotion. I'll give you some useful links to dab editing things... Widefox; talk 09:14, 22 October 2014 (UTC)
Thank you for your edit to the disambiguation page Talk:Jiva (disambiguation). However, please note that disambiguation pages are not articles; rather, they are meant to help readers find a specific article quickly and easily. From the disambiguation dos and don'ts, you should:
- Be familiar with the guidelines and style
- Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
- Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
- Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry
- Only add a "red link" if used in an article, and include the "blue link" to that article
- Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
- Do not insert external links or references
Here's the links Widefox; talk 09:15, 22 October 2014 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add soapboxing, promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Jiwa Financials, you may be blocked from editing. See WP:NOTHERE Widefox; talk 09:15, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
Hello, Scottpearce1976, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia. Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who use multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please remember to disclose these connections. Thank you. Widefox; talk 09:18, 25 October 2014 (UTC)
