Your edit of proton pump inhibitors
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia! I saw your recent addition to proton pump inhibitors where you added the PLoS One paper from Shah et al.[PMID 26061035] This is an interesting paper but you probably wonder why another editor, Jytdog, reverted it quickly. Although this PPI article needs a lot of work, in WP the use of individual primary sources is discouraged. In medically-related articles this is a particular issue as it can lead to unbalanced entries (see the entries WP:PRIMARY and WP:MEDRS where this is explained in more detail). This is an encyclopedia and not a news source (see WP:NOTNEWS) and systematic reviews and meta-analyses are some of the preferred types of sources. We have all found this difficult when we find a new interesting piece of information!
I hope you can find further sources to help to expand this and other entries. Jrfw51 (talk) 16:19, 20 August 2015 (UTC)
