Main page

I've requested that Harriet Tubman be placed on the main page on International Women's Day - see here. Awadewit (talk) 01:27, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Finished

Scar, I've completed addressing your comments at Stanford Memorial Church. When you have time, could you please take a look? Also, where are we with I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings? That article's been languishing for a while, and I'd like to move forward. Thanks, as always. --Figureskatingfan (talk) 05:28, 1 February 2009 (UTC)

Re:Sideshow Bob

Ah, excellent. Will take a thorough look soon, but taking a peak at the lead, it's looking much better already. Kudos for taking on the copyedit! BuddingJournalist 22:03, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

Yes, thanks for taking this on. Editors have a hard time finding decent copyeditors and it can be a source of frustration at FAC. --Laser brain (talk) 02:31, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

Caged Bird

I have finally gotten around to reviewing Caged Bird here. Profuse apologies over the delay. Awadewit (talk) 02:27, 4 February 2009 (UTC)

I just wanted to thank you for your quick ce to the lead of this article. Even though I have had a few people sweep through the article, I'm STILL getting comments in the FAC saying that it needs to be further copy edited. I was hoping that you could do a quick sweep of the whole article like you did with the lead. It would be a huge help! Thanks. --TorsodogTalk 15:21, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Kudos!

The Copyeditor's Barnstar
You deserve this barnstar for your recent efforts in copyediting FACs. Keep up the great work! BuddingJournalist 18:58, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
Ha, I just came here to give this same barnstar to you, but looks like BJ beat me too the punch. Anyways, your attack on SW:RS was a great success. Thanks for aiding the rebel cause! --TorsodogTalk 21:51, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Re:Sideshow Bob

Any assistance you can offer would be more than welcome. I really appreciate the offer. Would you mind clarfifying on which of the copyediting being done seems sketchy? -- Scorpion0422 20:39, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Excellent, thank you very much. -- Scorpion0422 19:40, 3 February 2009 (UTC)

I was going to give you a copyeditor's barnstar, but you've already (deservedly) got several of those, so here is a much better one.

Scorpion0422's Not-so-Golden Woodpecker Award
For your excellent help with Sideshow Bob, which probably would have failed it's FAC had you not come along. Thanks once again. -- Scorpion0422 19:23, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

By the way, I'm currently working on Nancy Cartwright, which I hope to have FAC ready by the end of the month. Would you mind taking a look at it eventually (there's no hurry, take your time)? Thanks, Scorpion0422 19:23, 10 February 2009 (UTC)

Hmm, didn't even think of giving you that one. Think of it as motivation, you now have a goal to aim for. -- Scorpion0422 01:51, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

Thank you, I'll always treasure it and immediately hock it. As for a Bob quote, here's one for you: "Attempted murder? Now honestly, what is that? Do they give a Nobel prize for attempted chemistry?" -- Scorpion0422 18:49, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

Thank you...

I never got around to thanking you for taking the time to go through and copyedit the Jada Pinkett Smith article. Thank you so much for your beautiful edits. I really appreciate it and feel like they helped a lot. If you ever need anything, let me know. I owe you one! – Ms. Sarita Confer 18:57, 11 February 2009 (UTC)

If you have the time, would you be willing to help copyedit this article? It has a request for peer review that has been open for a couple weeks now, and the only feedback received was that the article needs copyediting before it can become an FA candidate. Thanks, Musashi1600 (talk) 20:36, 5 February 2009 (UTC)

Just dropping a reminder about this for you. Musashi1600 (talk) 10:13, 10 February 2009 (UTC)
I'd just like to thank you for your work on cleaning up this article. Hopefully, it'll have a good shot at making FA now. Musashi1600 (talk) 06:59, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

Copyedit request

Hi, I saw your name on Wikipedia:Peer review/volunteers and hoped that you could copyedit an article for me. I have been working on List of National Monuments of the United States and it is now at FLC, and the reviewers suggested proofreading it. I would really appreciate it if you could please copyedit this article for me, and I'd be happy to help out with one of your articles in return. Thank you! Reywas92Talk 18:09, 14 February 2009 (UTC)

Whoda thunkit?

That I would actually need some assistance on Balzac. Have you heard the "Pick a little, talk a little" song from The Music Man? Seriously... BAAAALLLLzac.

At any rate, our favorite French author apparently had some influence over portrayals of sex variant women in 19th century literature. I'd appreciate your eyes on this section in particular. --Moni3 (talk) 17:12, 18 February 2009 (UTC)

Now what?

Hey Scar, howyadoin'? So what do you think? Now that all comments have been addressed on I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings, is there anything else that needs to be done? Or do you think that it's ready for FAC? If so, I will be happy to bring it there. Or, if you think it's better, you or one of the other reviewers can do it. I'm putting a similar note on the their talk pages, too. Again, thanks for all your help, generosity, and mentorship. --Figureskatingfan (talk) 05:07, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

Phil Hartman

Hi there! Scorpion recommended you after your copy-edit of Sideshow Bob, so I was wondering if you could take a look at Phil Hartman for me? Thanks. Gran2 21:10, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

It's been two weeks, and you said for me to give you a prod. But hell, whenever you get around to it is fine. Gran2 21:25, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
Don't worry about it. That's stuff more important, so there's no rush. Gran2 11:26, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
Cheers! Gran2 17:32, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

This is just a reminder for Nancy Cartwright (I finally got a GA review for it). Take your time, there's no rush. Thanks, Scorpion0422 15:37, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Thanks and a request

Thanks for signing up at Wikipedia:Peer review/volunteers and for your work doing reviews. It is now just over a year since the last peer review was archived with no repsonse after 14 (or more) days, something we all can be proud of. There is a new Peer review user box to track the backlog (peer reviews at least 4 days old with no substantial response), which can be found here. To include it on your user or talk page, please add {{Wikipedia:Peer review/PRbox}} . Thanks again, and keep up the good work, Ruhrfisch ><>°° 03:12, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi could you work any of your magic on the Florence Shapiro article? Specifically any work with sources or the like. I've been working on it, and am trying to achieve at least B status. Thanks --Longhornsg (talk) 23:17, 25 February 2009 (UTC)

Wow!

I would like to commend you on your template tutorial, so here:

You, Scartol, have just been awarded The New Mikemoral's generic barnstar in miniature. You can earn this award too for other generic things, just like Scartol did.

Thanks to you tutorial, I was able to make my award template better. --♪♫The New Mikemoraltalkcontribs 00:17, 28 February 2009 (UTC)
