Requesting review of Folding@home
Hi there Scarpy,
I saw that you've listed your name over at WP:PRV. I've been enthusiastically editing pretty extensively on Folding@home, and achieved GA status early last month. It's an article about a powerful distributed computing project which simulates protein folding for disease research, so I thought you might be interested. I'd like to improve the article as much as I can, and perhaps even reach FA status, so if you have a moment, I'd sure appreciate any advice or suggestions you may have. Thank you for your time, Jesse V. (talk) 21:31, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
Requesting peer review for George M. Stratton: founder of Berkeley's psychology department, and one of the early experimental psychologists
Saw your interests listed as psychology and cognitive sciences. Thought I might request your participation directly. The review request is here. Churn and change (talk) 04:01, 14 September 2012 (UTC)

How to summarize the old 2006 Cochrane study of Alcoholics Anonymous
Back in 2009, you came up with this wording to summarize the (now quite dated) Cochrane meta-study of Alcoholics Anonymous effectiveness:
- Cochrane Review of eight studies, published in between 1967 and 2005, measuring the effectiveness of AA found no significant difference between the results of AA and twelve-step participation compared to other treatments. To determine the effectiveness of AA, the authors suggested more studies comparing treatment outcomes with control groups were necessary
I think, and another user agrees that it's probably better to keep this summary more concise:
- The 2006 Cochrane Review of eight studies measuring the effectiveness of AA found no significant difference between the results of AA and twelve-step participation compared to other treatments, stating that "experimental studies have on the whole failed to demonstrate their effectiveness in reducing alcohol dependence or drinking problems when compared to other interventions."
Your thoughts? It's not going to stay very long on the Wikipedia in this form; an updated Cochrane review should come out this August (scroll down to where it says "“No, that’s not true,” said Dr. John Kelly [...] he said they expect to publish their results in August") Defendingaa (talk) 14:03, 18 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Automatic archiving
Hello. You added auto-archiving to Talk:Men Going Their Own Way, which was a good idea. Was there a reason you set the counter to 8? Are there old archives from the previously deleted versions floating around somewhere? The archives are now going to Talk:Men Going Their Own Way/Archive 8 and Talk:Men Going Their Own Way/Archive 9 but there's nothing earlier, which I think breaks Template:Archive box (or maybe a cache just needs to clear somewhere). That might have an easy fix for the box, or we could just move them, but it's a bit odd as it is right now. Thanks. Grayfell (talk) 05:32, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Grayfell: D'oh, must have been my mistake when I put in the template code. They're aren't old archives, should probably be moved to /Archive 1 and /Archive 2 - Scarpy (talk) 19:23, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
- @Grayfell: Just finished moving them. Looks like the archive box links work. If you see anything else I overlooked, please let me know. - Scarpy (talk) 19:39, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
- Great. It looks fine to me, now, not that I'm an expert. Thanks. Grayfell (talk) 21:42, 27 January 2016 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for May 10
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Networked Help Desk, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page JIRA. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
