I don't recall reading this in my sources, but it is plausible. To get into the gist of it, we would probably need to look at literature analyzing the novel itself, which is currently not on my to do list for any foreseeable future. Main page errors

Hi Sca. I can see where you're coming from, there is always a certain amount of frustration when items don't appear in ITN that some readers would expect to see. However, we have a reasonably active community at WP:ITN/C who discuss this kind of thing, rather than relying on WP:ERRORS to claim an article should be posted. You would be best advised to contribute there, it would gain significantly more traction. Also, if you're afraid or are unable to use the template for a nomination, feel free to ask one of the many regulars to help, or just copy-and-paste one that already exists and amend it. You seem capable of adding wiki-code to the errors page, so I'm sure you'll soon adapt to be able to use the template. The Rambling Man (talk) 17:18, 1 August 2013 (UTC)

Hugenots

If I am not mistaken, you made an edit earlier this year claiming that Lothar von Arnauld de la Perière was of Hugenot decent. Do you have any sources to support this claim, because I have not found anything that suggests he was, and have thus removed the word Hugenot. Just so you know. Inertia

The old New York Times used to proudly display on its front page, near the flag, the motto, "All the news that's fit to print." Perhaps English Wiki needs a motto, too. Recently, the redoubtable WP administrator David Levy said, in response to an editor's question, "... inertia is difficult to overcome around here." The above suggestion makes an unfortunate amount of sense. I'd like to think that this might change, but that would entail overcoming the inertia's inertia. —David Levy 22:15, 24 November 2013 (UTC)

Due to, among other things, Mr. Dylan's obnoxious 2014 Super Bowl ad, I've added a strike-through to his name at the end of my user-page list of heroes, and a parenthetical note explaining that I remain a fan only of his sublime '60s and '70s work. • Look, I have no grudge against you, and am not interested in carrying on a feud. "Pointy" is a wikipedia term, it is explained at WP:POINTY, and applied to your creating a second nomination for the same event who first nomination you were aware of and had opposed. Refactoring is defined in wiktionary, and applies to your changing other people's edits--which was especially problematic given you not only should not have done it, you lied about it in the edit summary by calling it a typo. I can tell you are upset, so I suggest we drop this, I know you are a long term editor, and I look forward to working with you constructively in the future. μηδείς (talk) 22:15, 21 February 2014 (UTC)

You don't seem to understand, or care, that pointy was personally offensive — or that I did what I did re the Ukraine ITN nomination in good faith.

In my view, Wiktionary (which should be capitalized) has little standing in the world of English lexica. Refactor is not a word — but refractory is!

Long term, as a compound modifier, should be hyphenated.
