Re: this edit; I'm a big fan of Haskell as well, but such an edit is unhelpful. Any other editor with any experience is going to read that paragraph, with no references or sources, and POV alarms are going to go off all over in their minds. ('But how does one quantify active communities or rich sets of libraries?' 'Who says that it was cutting-edge research?'). Finally: I was the editor who wrote most of that - on haskell.org. While pasting it into a WP article is, legally speaking, allowed by the haskell.org's simple permissive license, you should still at least credit where you got it from. --Gwern (contribs) 03:10 21 October 2008 (GMT)
