MK
[edit]I think you reverted your edit but for the record, MK is still in Buckinghamshire (the ceremonial county, c/w Lord Lieutenant and High Sheriff). It consists of two unitary authorities. UAs are legally defined as counties to save having to amend a 1000 acts going back to Edward II. The UAs in Beds and Northants were named sensibly but idiocy prevailed and South/Mid Bucks was given the name of the whole county. 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 20:26, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
