Heya, I'd almost not recognised you. Nice username - at least today :-). I'm not aware of a change of consensus, either. The version "European" had been pretty stable since its introduction in March 2007 by Tony Sidayway. But about the time when even 'the other side' considered it a stable consensus ([3][4]), Serafin felt again that Copernicus had the same nationality as him and that should be known ([5][6]) and Tulkolahten grabbed the opportunity to create an unprepared and unneeded "consensus disputation" ([7]), another poll or vote on the talk page in which there was naturally a divide along the lines of the voter's own nationality and with one nationality somewhat dominating. Still, the adjective "European" could draw with "Polish", considering the ratio of support to oppose, and the two users of uninvolved ethnicity did not vote for the adjective "Polish". The consensus vote did not achieve consensus for anything but struck at the heart of the previous stability of "European", although not very successfully. The guerilla warfare of Serafin does not count. There was much talk about something else and some about nationality without focus on sources, warranting little attention. The IP that reverted Matthead's edits now, restoring "Polish" too, was not Serafin and could have thought that Matthead's mistaken reference to Aristotle('s geocentric model) was a wholesale act of vandalism. To a vote on lead in Copernicus article[8]
It was made a while ago. I think you searched for answer if there was a consensus regarding the naming.--Molobo18:47, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
