European Center for Middle East Studies

[edit]

Hello, I just deleted the article you made about European Center for Middle East Studies. I see it's not the first time you've tried to make an article about that subject that has been deleted. Before you try again, I recommend you read Your First Article, which contains helpful advice for people looking to write their first Wikipedia article. The most important thing to understand in writing an article is what counts as a reliable source for establishing notability for Wikipedia's purposes. An organization's own materials, like their Facebook and LinkedIn pages and website may be reliable for some facts, but they do not establish notability, and if that sort of source is the only source you use for the information in an article it ends up looking like an advertisement. ~ ONUnicorn(Talk|Contribs)problem solving 13:28, 22 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on European Center for Middle East Studies requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Request reason:

i understand that what i did was inappropriate for this site, and confirm that i won't do it again

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 13:42, 6 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again.
