Uyghur vowel harmony
[edit]Thanks for the addition to Uyghur language! The vowel reduction issue is certainly what seems to be focussed on most in linguistic literature on the language—a much needed addition to the article. I see that I've read things you've published before, and look forward to seeing more contributions to wikipedia related to those topics. (Btw, interesting that you keep the F as your initial in Cyrillic instead of using Ф—any reason?) —Firespeaker 11:26, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
Thanks for your response and welcome. No reason for the Ф, just inattention. Sassisch 17:57, 24 April 2006 (UTC)
Also, your description of the vowel reduction begs the question why the first /a/ in /ata-lAr-Im-Iz/ doesn't reduce too. By your description, if I'm not mistaken, one would expect etilirimiz as the result. I don't know quite enough about the phenomenon to feel safe trying to make your generalisation more accurate. Maybe I'm just not reading it right though. —Firespeaker 11:26, 16 April 2006 (UTC)
Please see my addition to the paragraph.
Interesting you know Yiddish. So do I, and I love it. Sassisch

Lüneburg
[edit]Please do not move this page to titles that do not conform to the naming conventions. Even if "Lunenburg" was still the most copmmonly used name in English (I don't think it is), the page should be at Lunenburg, Germany, not at any of the titles you moved it to. To move it there, please suggest the move via the WP:RM procedure first so Wikipedians can decide by consensus what the best article name is. Thank you, Kusma (討論) 11:39, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- Please do not put a move discussion on the article page itself (see WP:RM for the instructions). Anyway, per recent discussion at WT:GER there is very little chance that this move goes through, so you may as well save yourself the trouble. Kusma (討論) 19:34, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:N-albingia.png
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:N-albingia.png. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 20:10, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Dear friend please come to « שמועס » to see if we can use this channel as a place for Yiddish chats. This form should work at װיקיװערטערבוך when you are using Firefox, Konqueror or Opera. Unfortunatelly if does not work yet in Internet Explorer.
Please search in װיקיװערטערבוך:הויפט זייט at the seventh item in נאוויגאציע. It is « שמועס ». I assume that you agree to add such an « שמועס » item at װיקיפּעדיע to נאוויגאציע as soon as our friends m:n:en:user:bawolff ... have fixed the code. Please do not hesitate to write your comments in the comment section.
Please make proposals about translating of the text / help: Only Latin characters and Latin numbers are allowed as « Your Nickname: » . Exceptions are « tekhniker|avek » , « ales-viser » etc. Please add some explanations about accessing the channel « #kavehoyz » by using the page chatwikizine: One should select the channel « #kavehoyz » from the channel list, select a Nickname and hit enter. All other fields are optional.
Thanks in advance and Good luck! Best regards

Transliteratie
[edit]Hoi, je zou je transliteratie-kennis misschien beter ergens anders uit kunnen proberen. Wat je op het artikel Haredi Judaism schreef was erg moeilijk te begrijpen. --Piz d'Es-Cha (talk) 12:48, 10 November 2008 (UTC)
Proposed deletion of Shahrokh Moshkin Ghalam
[edit]The article Shahrokh Moshkin Ghalam has been proposed for deletion. The proposed-deletion notice added to the article should explain why.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
Disambiguation link notification for September 20
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Isaac Leeser, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Neuenkirchen (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver).
