I found an obscure coincidence or possibly a source of the GoT family called Tyrell. Thomas Pichon a French Acadian citizen became disanamoured with his superiors at Fort Beausejour. He was recruited as a spy and gave the British at Fort Lawrence detailed plans of the nearby French fort. Following the fall of Beausejour, he became a British citizen called Thomas Tyrell.
