2020 in Nepal moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, 2020 in Nepal, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. buidhe 11:19, 9 January 2020 (UTC)

New and Current Gaunpalikas and Municipalities Mergers
[edit]Greetings, as I can't send you an email message via Wikipedia, I was wondering if you know any information of how the current gaunpalikas (a.k.a. rural municipalities) and current urban municipalities (both collectively known as 'local level units') were created from the now former over 3,900 village development committees (or VDC's) dating back from the 1990s til before 2015, etc. Any help or references are appreciated. jlog3000 (talk) 11:44, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Johnluisocasio: There was a new commission formed (Local Level Restructuring Commission) according to Article 295(3) of the Constitution but the decision on which VDC's to merge into which new local level was primarily done by the respective District Development Committee's (DDC's). The commission gave a beginning guideline on the number of local levels to be formed and the DDC's had to work within that framework, also building consensus among various stakeholders within the district. This link has the final report which shows how the local levels/wards were formed from the old structure. Final report in nepali. Sarisavila (talk) 12:51, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
- @Sarisavila: Will check it out. But by any chance will there be an English version of said report? jlog3000 (talk) 13:09, 12 September 2020 (UTC)
