Information is incorrect Sarahconifers1 (talk) 15:26, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I understand it can be frustrating to see information on wikipedia that you personally know is incorrect. However what you claim to be incorrect is just the Neutral Point of View required on the site Thepenguin9 (talk) 15:28, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

It’s misleading and wrong Sarahconifers1 (talk) 15:32, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of edit warring noticeboard discussion

Information icon Hello. I really would like the incorrect spelling and misleading information put right, it’s like having a dictionary with the spelling all wrong inside If this could be fixed Wikipedia would be giving the correct information, if this can not be corrected it will be difficult to believe any information that is read on Wikipedia Sarahconifers1 (talk) 20:25, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The incorrect spelling is fine to fix. The "misleading information" is not misleading and looks to be you wishing your relative be viewed in a better light. I am not stopping you from fixing typos, but I am reverting changes where you alter the perspectiveThepenguin9 (talk) 20:31, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Why such a comment to be made of someone “failing to establish themselves” needs to be published is certainly questionable as to whom first wrote this on Wikipedia Regardless of whom this was written about. I would of thought that you wouldn’t want negative comments made about you written on a sight for the world to see just like any human being. And yes the information is incorrect and yes it is misleading and yes a lot of spelling mistakes. If you want to give this negative and wrong information of somebody’s work then i suggest it shows your personality and how you want a person to be perceived. The spelling will always be incorrect every time it changes back so this information will always be wrong, unfortunately we obviously disagree with each other and that is a shame and very sad, I respect your opinion as that’s the best thing about opinions ..we all have one Sarahconifers1 (talk) 21:06, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The wording isn't meant to disparage your relative. It's a blunt and literal wording. Thepenguin9 (talk) 21:14, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

You obviously do this for a living and must have plenty of time on your hands, I am simply stating what I believe to be true and correct in a positive manner, I would hope that is what any writer, publisher, typeset or anyone to be honest would want, not negative sentences that perceives someone to fail when a sentence could be used in a positive factual way regardless of who it being written about Sarahconifers1 (talk) 21:38, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Oh if I could earn an income from this I'd be sorted. And to use your example, if a publisher printed a book which said your relative failed to establish himself. Would you go around with a marker and cross it out on every copy? Thepenguin9 (talk) 21:41, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have said what I have to say and put my point across, we all have our own opinions and unfortunately not everyone agrees with each other, that’s life! I stand by what I say just as probably you do and if someone can write that about a career then I can also write what I believe is true, correct and positive information, good night 🌙 Sarahconifers1 (talk) 21:49, 3 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately you fail to grasp that I am not putting forward an opinion but a policy of Wikipedia Thepenguin9 (talk) 06:16, 4 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I do understand but it’s still A negative sentence when it could be a positive factual sentence I.e: scored in his debut age 18 or : After seven years at Anfield , giving the reader positive factual interesting information and not trying to advise the reader they failed to establish themselves when clearly seven years work is not failing to establish themselves so this is wrong and misleading information to the reader. Hello Sarahconifers1. You've been warned for edit warring per a complaint at the edit warring noticeboard. Wikipedia depends on published sources. Information that is only known to relatives of the person involved can't generally be used in articles. Let me know if you have any questions.
