Welcome to the Wikiproject: Tropical Cyclones!

[edit]

From one member to another, I welcome you the Tropical Cyclone project. I see you have a few edits, and hope you can help in any way possible to the project. There are many different mini-projects going on right now, such as Season archives (adding more details to old seasons), Storm articles (Adding more information to tropical cyclone articles), or just helping out in general to wherever you see fit. If you have any questions, feel free to ask anywhere, from your own talk page to mine to the headquarters of the project located here. Have fun helping, and see you around. Irish Ancestry :D

[edit]

I don't know whether you know that you have not enabled (in any of a few ways that I know of that are too long to post here) E-mailing within Wikipedia—not that that is a problem, it's fine with me, everyone prefers something over another, etc. etc. etc.
Anyway, come to think of it, it would be preferable to me for other Irishfolk to see this, as I am 100% Irish myself. I love seeing Irish people (though I guess that's nothing new, at least not in America) and I voice it loudly! LOL. Anyway, from and Irishman to an Irishwoman,

Long live the Irish!
Long live their cheer!
Long live our friendship
Year after year!

Hi Sarah

[edit]

I created CETYS's userbox because I was able to access their website and that gave me an idea of what "golden" color you where referring to. Nevertheless, I was unable to find CEIM's thus I don't know if the green you are referring to is bright or dark. I would appreciate more info on this. ^_^ --Lufthmark 04:27, 13 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hola

[edit]

I fixed Cety's userbox and its ready to use. If you dislike the userboxes please let me know about this. I want to make the userboxes as visualy appealing as possible. --Lufthmark 00:58, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Cat Lovers' Committee

[edit]

Sarah sofía, I can see from your userboxes that you love cats.

Would you be interested in joining the Wikipedia Cat Lovers' Committee?

If you want to join, you can add yourself to the members list, and contact me, Sergeant Snopake, on my talk page, or the committee founder, GeorgeMoney, on his.

The Wikipedia Cat Lover's Committee has also been nominated for deletion.

Please vote keep.

Thank You very much! :)

Sergeant Snopake, 12:25, 21th of April 2006 (UTC)

Congratulations!

[edit]

Congratulations on joining the committee! Yeah, Dante is a beautiful cat. I had a birman that died, too! She was lovely. I'm very sorry for you. It's awful when pets die.
It's cool that you're Mexican! It adds flavour to the group. Sergeant Snopake 07:39, 24 April 2006 (UTC) [reply]

Re: help

[edit]

To fix a double redirect, go to the article that has the double redirect and click on the "What links here" link on the left side of the page. Look for a redirect page that links to another redirect page (the double redirect) and click on it. Edit the double redirect page like you would edit any other page, and change the link to the article to which it should redirect.

Hope this helped and wasn't too confusing. I'll leave the redirect page as is now and let you go ahead and fix it so you can do it yourself. Let me know if you need any help with fixing this or anything else on Wikipedia. –Dream out loud (talk) 12:37, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I added the template {{db-redirtypo}} to the page Imperfecta-Imperfect. Please don't redirect the page to itself like you just did. That template I added will notify an administrator that the page was nominated for speedy deletion and will be deleted shortly. –Dream out loud (talk) 21:39, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, problem solved. In the future, to rename a page, click the move button at the top and type in the new page title. I'm going to leave the two redirect pages as is, and I tagged them with {{R from misspelling}}. –Dream out loud (talk) 01:29, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hola

[edit]

Speedy deletion of Image:Lazulibajaprog.JPG

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Image:Lazulibajaprog.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I8 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is available as a bit-for-bit identical copy on the Wikimedia Commons under the same name, or all references to the image on Wikipedia have been updated to point to the title used at Commons.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on [[ Talk:Image:Lazulibajaprog.JPG|the talk page]] explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Soundvisions1 (talk) 14:31, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

NowCommons: File:Sunflowergarden.JPG

[edit]

File:Sunflowergarden.JPG is now available on Wikimedia Commons as Commons:File:Sunflowergarden.JPG. This is a repository of free media that can be used on all Wikimedia wikis. The image will be deleted from Wikipedia, but this doesn't mean it can't be used anymore. You can embed an image uploaded to Commons like you would an image uploaded to Wikipedia, in this case: [[File:Sunflowergarden.JPG]]. Note that this is an automated message to inform you about the move. This bot did not copy the image itself. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 05:56, 7 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Survey

[edit]

Hi Sarah!

I have put together a survey for female editors of Wikipedia (and related projects) in order to explore, in greater detail, women's experiences and roles within the Wikimedia movement. It'd be wonderful if you could participate!

It's an independent survey, done by me, as a fellow volunteer Wikimedian. It is not being done on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation. I hope you'll participate!

Just click this link to participate in this survey, via Google!

Any questions or concerns, feel free to email me or stop by my user talk page. Also, feel free to share this any other female Wikimedians you may know. It is in English, but any language Wikimedia participants are encouraged to participate. I appreciate your contributions - to the survey and to Wikipedia! Thank you! [edit]

Hi. When you recently edited Centro de Enseñanza Técnica y Superior, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Spanish (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:59, 1 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Notice

The file File:Sofiacodemorse.PNG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

unused, low-res, no obvious use

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:01, 22 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
