Twinkle
[edit]Hi, I've noticed you've been doing some vandal fighting with popups recently, might I recommend the Twinkle tool? It's available to autoconfirmed users and I think you could do some good with it. Feel free to contact me on my talk page if you have any questions regarding Twinkle or anything else. Regards, Jeffrey Mall (talk • be merry) - 02:29, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thanks. One problem I'm having is with identifying the vandalism in the first place: I can't get Lupin's Anti-vandal tool to work. It displays links in the toolbox, and starts to come up when the links are selected, but doesn't actually display the changes. Even with popups to look at diffs, manually reviewing Special:RecentChanges or Special:AbuseLog really isn't ideal. Is there something wrong with my installation, or is the tool down for everyone? - Presumably you've checked its compatability with your current web browser, if so you really can't get it to work you might like to add a thread here. Jeffrey Mall (talk • be merry) - 02:48, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you; I've done that. Sarah182 (talk) 03:08, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

Blocked as a sockpuppet You have been blocked indefinitely as a sockpuppet of John254 (talk · contribs · global contribs · page moves · user creation · block log). Blocked or banned users are not allowed to edit Wikipedia; if you are banned, all edits under this account may be reverted. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text{{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. |

Request reason:
I'm not John254. I wasn't told about Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/John254 or allowed to comment there, and the checkuser results were inconclusive. Lots of users make comments at AFDs and revert vandalism using scripts. My "AFD activity shows familiarity with Wikipedia policies" because I formerly edited anonymously, which isn't forbidden. Sarah182 (talk) 06:35, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
Decline reason:
I've re-run the check and in consultation with other checkusers, have to endorse this block for a number of reasons Alison ❤ 22:01, 30 December 2009 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
