[edit]Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been undone.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, please discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, please seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continual disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 17:53, 18 November 2016 (UTC)
Please carefully read this information:
The Arbitration Committee has authorised discretionary sanctions to be used for pages regarding all edits about, and all pages related to post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people, a topic which you have edited. The Committee's decision is here.
Discretionary sanctions is a system of conduct regulation designed to minimize disruption to controversial topics. This means uninvolved administrators can impose sanctions for edits relating to the topic that do not adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, our standards of behavior, or relevant policies. Administrators may impose sanctions such as editing restrictions, bans, or blocks. This message is to notify you that sanctions are authorised for the topic you are editing. Before continuing to edit this topic, please familiarise yourself with the discretionary sanctions system. Don't hesitate to contact me or another editor if you have any questions.October 2021
[edit]Hi, your edits to Tim Ball involve the topic of climate change. Your edits were undone on the basis that they cited an unreliable source, added unverified claims, and were potential BLP violation. Please ensure that your edits comply with policies on sourcing, due weight and biographies of living persons. As the following note points out, stringent rules apply to edits in this topic area. Thank you. . . dave souza, talk 19:07, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have shown interest in climate change. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
Flagrant nonsense. Firstly, everything I posted is in the public record and is absolutely true. Secondly, your unsubstantiated claim that Principia Scientific International is an "unreliable source" is laughable given that this same page cites notorious far-left disinformation site "Mother Jones".
THIS is why nobody donates money to Wikipedia anymore; it's been captured by paid far-left political activists who couldn't care less about truth or equal application of editorial guidelines.
