Indo-Polish dog breed: Here is some interesting facts about rare and very handsome dog Indo-polish Himalayan or Commonly known as Baan Gaddi. Many dog breeders and dog show organisers mistaken it with mixed breed. However baan-gaddi is a pure and tough breed.
Common characteristics and behaviour aspects:
Size: Male height varies from 15 inches to 28 inches. A fully grown dog with height 28 inches can attain a length from muzzle to hip 42 inches.
Colour: It comes into grey -black/ brown -black and translucent white -black colour.
Coat: Normally Indo-Polish dog comes in duel coat small and thick very fluffy and soft inner coat and long silky translucent outer coat.
Inner coat gives protection from extreme cold wether and outer long coat protects from snow fall and wet droplets.
Long hair upto 4-5 inch cover all over face and eyes. Around neck and shoulder hair gives a perfect look of lion.
under paw is also covered with thick hair.
Due to outer translucent hair quality in sunshine textures gives a mesmerising appearance.
Maintenance: Indo-Polish is a tough breed do not require to much maintenance, but require good and nutritious diet. ( Chicken and meat)
It is a wonderful adaptive dog despite of large size it could be tamed in a good size appartment as well.
there it require a daily exercise about 4-8 kms walk/ running daily to keep healthy for longer time.
If not kept indoor it needs a regular brushing and washing.
small puppy may require daily 3-4 time feeding but at it grows require twice day feeding. In plains and comparatively warmer areas it require two time feeding in winters but only one time feeding from April to October.
In peak summers it may skip diet sometimes.
Temperament: Indo Polish is gentle giant, very calm/ manageable polite with children and other puppies. A good watchdog and do not bark too much. If socialised it is best.
However very territorial as far as other male dogs concerned. It trust people and is a family dog.
Life Span : It lives a healthy life upto 15-16 years if kept well.Indo polish dog
