For further guidance on the notability criteria for books, see Wikipedia:Notability (books). The page that had been deleted was something of a special case, as it had already been deleted following a deletion debate (see Wikipedia:Deletion) so it should not have been re-created without substantial changes.
I've had several books published myself, but I wouldn't expect any of them to feature as articles, even though they have been reviewed in independent sources such as daily newspapers. However, that is a little subjective. Another issue is Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Unfortunately it frequently happens that people try to promote their own work on wikipedia, often pretending to be someone else. Deb (talk) 11:18, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
