- Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
- It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
- If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
- Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
- When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
- If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.

Air Littoral Flight 701A
[edit]Hey Samoiamo! I noted your edits on the page Air Littoral Flight 701A and I wanted to know where exactly I could access the final report which mentions the flight number to be FU701A since I'm having trouble finding it on the web.
Much appreciated, Thanks! GalacticOrbits (talk) 14:30, 22 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hiya! The final report is unfortunately not available on the Internet, yet. The only way to get access to it is by requesting Italy’s Ministry of Transportation via e-mail, uci(at)mit(dot)gov(dot)it
- They used to be open to requests but now I think you have to provide a passport photo for identification, doesn’t matter which nation it belongs to. Samoiamo (talk) 14:39, 22 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hey! Thanks for the reply! Could you upload the final report on a research paper website such as Academia or ResearchGate or any other viable alternatives so it would be more publicly accessible? Thanks! GalacticOrbits (talk) 13:54, 29 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hi again, I sent a request but no response yet. Any other method to access this report? Thanks! GalacticOrbits (talk) 09:37, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
- I was going to upload it in one of the websites you mentioned, but the Italian committee sent me the report page-by-page, so each page is its own .PDF, which made me feel a little burned out, but I’ll try uploading it this week Samoiamo (talk) 09:41, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hey, thanks for the reply! Appreciate the efforts taken by you. As I mentioned above, I did send a request to the Italian committee, however, I haven't received a response for a while. Once again, thanks a lot for making this report more accessible to the public.
- Cheers! GalacticOrbits (talk) 17:49, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
- I uploaded the final report to the Internet Archive. I've only used that website for the Wayback Machine, but never for uploading PDFs. Hopefully you are able to access the file. Samoiamo (talk) 11:55, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the upload! Appreciate it! GalacticOrbits (talk) 18:07, 19 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hey Galactic! Quick question, have you downloaded the final report in any way? I was warned a few moments ago by a friend that conservative countries, such as France and Italy, are pretty sensitive about sharing governmental documents. And that if they notice that the final report has been published to the internet, they might stop this “info-sharing” service. This means I unfortunately will have to delete the archived file, but as long as you have downloaded it first. Samoiamo (talk) 15:00, 20 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the reply! I'm uncertain whether final reports would neccessarily follow these laws as it is rather hard to trace down these laws, by being rather specific. I haven't got a reply by the Italian MOTC yet and I doubt I ever will. Yes, I have saved the report and will share it with the Aviation Safety Network to broaden the scope of the accident.
- I find it rather peculiar how some accident reports are not available to the public while most others are. Another instance of this being the case is the accident of G-AMAD (report number C.A.P. 322) where the official archive of final reports does not list it, yet the Aviation Safety Network managed to obtain a copy and upload it onto their website. After a request at baaa-acro, the file was uploaded there too. Now granted, this was an older accident but there are several other more recent examples such as Saudia Flight 9061 which occurred as recently as 2009, has released the final report but has not been published to the internet until the Aviation Herald published it in 2024. I'll contact the ASN and ask them to publish the final report. If they do indeed publish it, you should be safe and hold off the deletion. The ASN would know better about copyright laws than us as they've been around in the industry for substantially longer and by noting the instance above. GalacticOrbits (talk) 15:57, 20 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hey again! The ASN updated their narrative and they did indeed provide a link to the (now deleted) final report. I've asked them to upload the final report which I sent them via mail. GalacticOrbits (talk) 04:19, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
- Got it, no problem. I’m a little curious as to how you managed to contact ASN ‘cause I never get a response, lol.
- (Oh, and the SV9061 report is in the ICAO’s e-library of final reports. I downloaded it and asked Simon to upload it to his domain) Samoiamo (talk) 10:37, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hey there. I've been in touch with ASN for some time now and since they're updating their site, the contact form may not work for everyone. Also, how exactly do you access the e-library of final reports? I'm having trouble in doing so. First things first, is this the link to access it? If so, can you show me how to access a report (for instance the accident involving CU-T1281 or HZ-APW a.k.a. SV9061)? GalacticOrbits (talk) 12:29, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
- Yes, that is the site. Query > Query by Example > Pick a certain date or timeframe/country your specified accident occurred in > Click on the magnifying tool icon once you find the ideal description. Samoiamo (talk) 14:21, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for clarifying. GalacticOrbits (talk) 17:21, 21 July 2024 (UTC)

- Funnily enough, I'm finding it difficult to communicate with baaa-acro and the aforementioned Italian MOTC as well as the Taiwanese MOTC. I was actually unable to find the final report for Formosa Airlines Flight 7623. A website stated that you need to contact the Taiwanese MOTC for the final report via mail but I'm running into a similar problem where they haven't replied back either. GalacticOrbits (talk) 12:37, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
- I have the Formosa report obtained by a group of Chinese folks on Discord. They somehow managed to annoy a CAA employee via e-mail to the point where she just sent them an unspecified number of ROC-based accident reports. I don’t think the Taiwanese email works anymore. Samoiamo (talk) 14:23, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
- Oh. I'd like to see the Formosa report then. If there are any other reports which haven't got much coverage, please let me know. Thanks! GalacticOrbits (talk) 17:49, 21 July 2024 (UTC)
- Formosa Airlines 7623
- Paninternational 112
- Lufthansa Cargo 8533
- Iran Air 277
- Here are some reports I got Samoiamo (talk) 12:36, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
- I'm aware that the Lufthansa Cargo report is uploaded on the e-Library above. Regardless, I'm very grateful to the data you managed to compile; something which would've taken me eternities to locate. Not sure how to thank you but without a doubt, excellent work across the board. GalacticOrbits (talk) 16:27, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
- You’re very welcome, let me know if they reach ASN. And I’ll let you know if there are any more reports. Samoiamo (talk) 17:56, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
- Also FYI, I'm trying to locate the Aircraft Accident Report Number CIA126 involving aircraft 5N-ANR. GalacticOrbits (talk) 11:54, 25 July 2024 (UTC)

- C.A.P. 343 involving aircraft EC-BDD is another report I can think of. GalacticOrbits (talk) 15:23, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
- Sure, I’ll try looking for these. Meanwhile, you can look at my contributions for any new reports added, instead of spamming your inbox of course. Samoiamo (talk) 15:32, 26 July 2024 (UTC)
- Thank you so much for the response. Sorry to bother you but report number MJH/DTB/247023 involving N88705 is one more which I'm unable to find. I've seen your contributions (specifically involving those of the accidents of HK-2422X and CU-T1281) and will send these over to ASN. GalacticOrbits (talk) 16:44, 26 July 2024 (UTC)

- Hey Samoiamo, you seem to have deleted all the investigation reports which you uploaded for no apparent reason. Mind explaining? GalacticOrbits (talk) 17:38, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- I actually didn't download the reports of XA-MEM, D-ALAR & HL7229. If you do not feel comfortable on uploading these files, I wish that you upload them so I can download it before taking them down and being lost to history. Thanks! GalacticOrbits (talk) 17:49, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- My archive.org account’s gone for some reason, there seems to be an issue. I’ll see if there’s something I can do. Samoiamo (talk) 17:58, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- Would it be okay to send some Google Drive links on my Twitter account? GalacticOrbits (talk) 18:05, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- good idea, give me a while please Samoiamo (talk) 18:20, 8 August 2024 (UTC)
- Sure! Just to keep a record for myself and not to spam your inbox, I'm also listing you to find the reports of VN-A449 and YV-23C. Thanks! GalacticOrbits (talk) 11:54, 12 August 2024 (UTC)

A barnstar for you!

You've always been a step ahead in collecting aircraft accident reports (which would be rather tedious to locate) and enthusiastic to expand the scope of several of them. I'm left in awe. You deserve it! GalacticOrbits (talk) 16:30, 22 July 2024 (UTC) |
- Appreciate it! Thank you so much, anytime. Samoiamo (talk) 17:55, 22 July 2024 (UTC)
