AfD nomination of 2008 Georgia fuel train blast

[edit]

I have nominated 2008 Georgia fuel train blast, an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2008 Georgia fuel train blast. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Ossetia war

[edit]

Why adding news about a war that is over? Besides that, it's not the proper way to do that, headlines-only are not allowed (news like Washington warns Russia means nothing and could refer to millions of warnings) --TheFEARgod (Ч) 21:47, 17 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Is the war really over? Please, show me prove? I am realy think this is biased to say that the war is over, due to lack of prove. By the way who has declared that this war is over? Shold we say that the war in Iraq and Afganistan is over also?
Samogitia, your news rule:) They always give me some extra pleasure of editing the Wiki:)FeelSunny (talk) 22:19, 26 October 2008 (UTC) Seriously, the war will be over when both Georgia and Russia decide they have no right to enforce anything in Abkhazia and SO.[reply]
  • Posts like these are disgusting, and what is wors you do not even seem to understand what you're doing. Please try to think 10 seconds before you post something that smart to the portal. Please also use several independent and reliable sources. Fear mongering and propaganda is not the thing Current Events were created for. FeelSunny (talk) 14:47, 5 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Warning

[edit]

Everyone who is editing the 2008 South Ossetia War article discusses stuff, prior to making the edit. You are are no different. Discuss, stop editing or get reported. Those are your choices. You have three disruptive edits in the article, and nothing in the discussion page. This stops now. HistoricWarrior007 (talk) 23:21, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

OK, cheerers. Reported to who? FSB? Wikipedia is not a place for a Red Terror, but a place for encyclopedic facts Samogitia (talk) 07:15, 13 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, and these encyclopedic facts should be discussed on the talkpage. Wikipedia is not a place where you create articles, bypassing discussion pages, in areas that you like. To you 69 out of 17,500 killed is Genocide. That's not an encyclopedic fact, that's your own misleading opinion. And when I tell you to discuss your edits before making them, you have the gall to call me an FSB agent? I've told everyone to do that, not just you. HistoricWarrior007 (talk) 22:20, 14 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated 2009 Lithuania–Russia crisis, an article that you created, for deletion. Greetings.

I've been working on this article which you created as "Meteorite in Latvia 2009", and I have nominated it for the " Did You Know"? section on the main page. It might not be chosen but in case it is, I wanted to let you know that it could appear on the main page soon. It's an interesting topic which I didn't know anything about until I found your article, so I'm glad you created it. Contains Mild Peril (talk) 04:32, 3 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

DYK for 2009 Latvian meteorite hoax

[edit]
Updated DYK query On November 8, 2009, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article 2009 Latvian meteorite hoax, which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits your article got while on the front page (here's how) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

The article 2010 Russian-NATO air space incident has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:NOTNEWS. These kinds of incidents, which get some attention the days after the event, and then are largely forgotten, don't get articles on Wikipedia.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Fram (talk) 09:43, 19 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Wtmitchell. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Algirdas Butkevičius, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 17:38, 5 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Dalia Grybauskaitė. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 17:39, 5 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to Saulius Skvernelis. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Wtmitchell (talk) (earlier Boracay Bill) 17:39, 5 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Samogitia (talk) 17:42, 5 April 2019 (UTC) It was no comment. It's a fact. (Lithuania was brutally and unlawfully occupied by the USSR). Samogitia (talk) 17:42, 5 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Tourismrank

[edit]

A quick glance at TourismRank makes it clear that it is not in any way a reliable source, but more like a small personal project of someone (you?). Please do not include it in mainspace articles, nor link to that flag poll on talk pages. Thank you. ― Hebsen (talk) 15:47, 22 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Armenia/Azerbaijan discretionary sanctions

[edit]

This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.

You have shown interest in Armenia, Azerbaijan, or related conflicts. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.

For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.

Speedy deletion nomination of Medininikai incident 2021

[edit]

Hello Samogitia,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Medininikai incident 2021 for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing hoaxes, such as Bryansk People's Republic, is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
