Me, Myself, and Someone Else
[edit]- Hi everyone, I'm Sam. I'm 16 years old and from South-eastern Pennsylvania
I'm really new here and looking forward to learning to make a decent page. I'm open to advice also.
Welcome
[edit]Welcome!
Hello Samobot5, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name's Robert, aka Jaxl. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are a few good links for newcomers:
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- Tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page.
I noticed on your user page that you were having trouble with the help pages (such as the ones listed above), so if you need any help, just ask me and I'll gladly give you some advice. Again, welcome!
(I'm also a fan of The Who as well. :)) Robert 03:34, 2 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit]Hello Samobot5, welcome to Wikipedia! I'm HyperHobbes or Megawatterson. I've seen that you're new here! If you need to contact me, visit my talk page. You can find it if you click on the link at the end of this message. So get editing and don't worry, everybody makes mistakes! Good luck! HyperHobbes 16:29, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
Stuff
[edit]I'll admit, all the formatting and links and stuff do sometimes get hard to remember. You know how to sign talk pages, don't you. And 2nd level headings. Basically, type a colon before words makes an indent. Type an asterisk and you get a bullet point. A lot of the tools you can use are in the toolbar when you edit. --HyperHobbes 16:36, 2 October 2005 (UTC)
Cool
[edit]Sam, you've done great work so far and we would love to see you make more contributions-----Wikipedia needs the input of 14 year-olds as much as 40 year-olds. I am a professional typographer and font designer and I have expanded the Paragraph article quite a bit. Read thru it and if you want to discuss anything leave a message on Talk:Paragraph or my talk page. —Arbo 18:52, 26 December 2005 (UTC)
