Hi. Thanks for your invitation on my talk page. You have a nice web site and I wish you well with your endeavour but you absolutely must not promote it on Wikipedia. Please see our relevant standards:
- What Wikipedia is Not -- especially these sections:
- External Links Guideline -- your links don't qualify for inclusion here. (Because we're an encyclopaedia, we have very narrow criteria for links we can use).
- Spam Guideline -- we consider promoting your links as you have a form of linkspam
- Conflict of Interest Guideline -- you have a conflict of interest when writing about your site or linking to it.
I read your user page -- I know you can offer us a lot with your knowledge of marine technology and merchant shipping. Just, please, no more stuff about sailorbits.com while your editing here. --A. B. (talk • contribs) 12:53, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
Dear sir, Understnd your views on the External link policy. Actually, I saw Seafolks.com as an External Link on the same page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sailor) which is exactly a similar site as ours and thought it might be permitted. --Samfml (talk) 14:34, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
