Sam Flo
[edit]Samuel Flores born May 4th, 1992 better known by his stage name Sam Flo is a christian hip-hop beat recording artist, currently signed to Twirl Me Records. At age 28 Sam Flo has been rapping & singing as an adolescent. By the time he was 17 years old Flo knew that he would decide to quit & give up his high school sports to pursue music which made him happier. After hearing from many peers & older adults that he would regret it later, Sam Flo recalls that he doesn't & that it was one of the smartest decisions he did in his life. Although it came with a lot of pressure & backlash Flo would find himself having minor anxiety attacks. I was scared & worried, like what are my friends going to think? What do I tell my coaches? Oh I quit cause I want to become a rapper & a singer? These are a few of the many thoughts that would flood his head day & night. Until Sam Flo built up the courage to stand his ground & decided Music is what he wanted to focus on. Sam Flo would find himself missing & purposely skipping Track Practice. It became normal that Sam Flo already knew what to say if confronted by one of his coaches. I honestly didn't care anymore & lost passion for sports. It was cool but Flo knew there was more to life than winning a few medals or trophies. Sam Flo doesn't mean no disrespect to anyone playing sports but this is the path he chose.
Sam Flo would then start his Musical journey in the year of 2009 while still attending Cotulla High School as a Junior. In Late October of 2011 Sam Flo would link up with fellow friend/producer DJ Sprucey Fruit & would knock out potential recordings. DJ Sprucey Fruit would then upload the finished songs to the internet via reverb nation & Sam Flo would then garner buzz & an online presence. After 4 months of Sam Flo having his Music on the web he would receive a message that strook Sam Flo & had him so excited. It was the chance to have up to 4-6 songs reviewed & auditioned for a chance to have them published thru Sony Universal Music ATV. Sam Flo felt he struck gold & always leaned on that opportunity thinking it would be his big break. While never having the chance to submit music content Flo would present Sony ATV 5 tracks 6 years later. From February 2012 to May 2018. While none of the songs selected Sam Flo was not discouraged because he would find himself working with 2 great talented producers who have worked with some of today's biggest mainstream artists "Loyaltee ShowOff & ForeignMadeIt". Loyaltee has produced 3 of Sam Flo's biggest tracks on his catalog "Faith In You, I Am Yours, & Table Of Contents". ForeignMadeIt has produced "Philippians 4:13" By Sam Flo.
In Late 2018 Faith In You & Philippians 4:13 would land on Good Friday Christian Spotify Playlist while being uploaded & distributed thru United Masters. Sam Flo plans to continue working alongside ForeignMadeIt & has got in contact with another producer ShottiProd. Sam Flo has his new single "Holy Ghost" dropping November 20th, 2020 on all digital platforms which will be distributed & promoted from Twirl Me Records.
