Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia:
- Respect copyrights – do not copy and paste text or images directly from other websites.
- Maintain a neutral point of view – this is one of Wikipedia's core policies.
- Take particular care while adding biographical material about a living person to any Wikipedia page and follow Wikipedia's Biography of Living Persons policy. Particularly, controversial and negative statements should be referenced with multiple reliable sources.
- No edit warring or abuse of multiple accounts.
- If you are testing, please use the Sandbox to do so.
- Do not add troublesome content to any article, such as: copyrighted text, libel, advertising or promotional messages, and text that is not related to an article's subject; doing so will result in your account or IP being blocked from editing.
- Do not use talk pages as discussion or forum pages as Wikipedia is not a forum.
The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Speedy deletion nomination of Lil' Linguini
[edit]Hello Salmarano,
I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Lil' Linguini for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons. For more details please see the notice on the article.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.
You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Not every person gets to have an article
[edit]Wikipedia articles cover notable topics—those that have gained sufficiently significant attention by the world at large and over a period of time, and are not outside the scope of Wikipedia. We consider evidence from reliable and independent sources to gauge this attention.
A person is presumed to be notable if he or she has received significant coverage in reliable secondary sources that are independent of the subject. All biographies of living individuals must comply with the policy on biographies of living individuals, being supported by sufficient reliable independent sources to ensure neutrality.
The person you are writing about does not appear to meet these requirements, unless you can provide evidence to show that he does. Articles on up-and-coming people or things are not accepted. Wikipedia is not a crystal ball, so possible future fame has no effect on present notability. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 15:46, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
- Ok. When I give you proof of fame you will feel so salty. I am not 100% sure what you get out of doing this but I guess it makes you happy. Just leave the page be. It does not hurt or harm and I will make edits to it regarding numbers of times I have been interviewed and acclaimed by people in my area. I hope you have an absolutely amazing day sitting at a computer for hours :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Salmarano (talk • contribs)
- From your reply, I gather that you are writing about yourself. You are welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, but it is not a social media site like Facebook or LinkedIn for people to write about themselves. It is a quite different sort of site, a project to build an encyclopedia, so it is selective about subjects for articles. Writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about you and Wikipedia:Autobiography.
- You can find out more about Wikipedia at the WP:Welcome page and the WP:Introduction, as well as Wikipedia's plain and simple conflict of interest guide. Thanks. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:02, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

[edit]Constructive contributions are appreciated and strongly encouraged, but your recent edit to the userpage of another user may be considered vandalism. Specifically, your edit to User:Drm310 may be offensive or unwelcome. In general, it is considered polite to avoid substantially editing others' userpages without their permission. Instead, please bring the matter to their talk page and let them edit their user page themselves if they agree on a need to do so. Please refer to Wikipedia:User page for more information on User page etiquette. Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:04, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), such as at Talk:Lil' Linguini, please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:06, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
- Drm310 gave you correct and helpful advice. This isn't social media or free advertising, and you shouldn't write about yourself. You repaid his help with sarcasm and then vandalised his user page. The only reason I haven't blocked you from editing is that you reverted the vandalism immediately. Any future failure to be civil, you won't get a second chance Jimfbleak - talk to me? 16:39, 27 November 2018 (UTC)
