Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Information icon Hello, I'm AntiDionysius. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to Sukhmani Sahib have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. AntiDionysius (talk) 23:34, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey AntiDionysius,
Links I added will be useful for someone trying to learn the correct pronunciation SahibSinghJi (talk) 23:39, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm sure they would, but we don't add every link that might be useful to Wikipedia articles. Wikipedia policy is very restrictive when it comes to allowable external links. I'd suggest contributing to the encyclopaedia in other ways. The link above to the "Task Center" has lots of suggestions if you need them. Thanks! AntiDionysius (talk) 23:41, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Noted, Reading policy now! SahibSinghJi (talk) 23:43, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I am confident that members of the Sikh community will find these resources highly valuable. SahibSinghJi (talk) 23:41, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I notice that you've added these links to a couple of pages, and said that one of the first things you want to do is write about the app in question. I should ask, therefore: are you personally or professionally affiliated with this app? AntiDionysius (talk) 23:43, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I personally find this app to be very useful and would like to clarify that I am not affiliated with it in any way. SahibSinghJi (talk) 23:45, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Cool, thanks for clarifying. Just good to be sure. Thanks! AntiDionysius (talk) 23:47, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Can I write about it or not? SahibSinghJi (talk) 23:48, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia suggested to start with small edit so I added the userful links. Can I jump to writing new article or not? SahibSinghJi (talk) 23:57, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked as a sockpuppet

[edit]
Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively as a sockpuppet of User:LearnGurbani per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/LearnGurbani. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.
