I think you were trying to ask on IRC for more detailed reasons why your draft had not been accepted. The reviewer's comment is a standard one for declining a submission where the references in the draft do not adequately establish that the subject is notable in the somewhat peculiar sense that Wikipedia uses that term. For a politician, the relevant criteria are given at NPOL. While your draft is quite short, it does appear to cite some press reports. Looking at those press reports, however, I see that they are very brief mentions, all about the very same appointed position, and not the sort of in-depth coverage needed to establish notability. Once Brar's career has developed some more, it might be possible for there to be an article, but for now you can't get it published on English Wikipedia. You could scratch the itch to publish something by submitting it at EverybodyWiki, where the rules are different. — jmcgnh^{(talk) (contribs)} 17:47, 13 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
