A tag has been placed on Islamic Research Institute For Culture And Thought requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. A tag has been placed on Islamic Research Institute For Culture And Thought requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Islamic Research Institute For Culture And Thought, a page you have created yourself. If you do not believe the page should be deleted, you can place a {{hangon}} tag on the page, under the existing speedy deletion tag (please do not remove the speedy deletion tag), and make your case on the page's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. AJCham 08:01, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
Hi Saboon,
I'm afraid I have had to delete the article for two reasons. Firstly, almost all of the material was copied verbatim from the institute website, which is protected by copyright. If you are the copyright holder, and you are willing to give permission for everyone in the world to copy, modify and distribute the text for any purpose whatsoever (including companies for their own financial gain), then please see these instructions for releasing your work under a free license. Alternatively, you can rewrite the material in your own words, taking special care not to copy anything from the official website.
Secondly, all Wikipedia articles must explain why their subject is notable. This basically means that multiple, independent reliable sources such as major magazines, newspapers or books must have written in detail about the institute. If you are able to demonstrate that this is the case, you are welcome to recreate the article.
As a final note, it is very important to avoid any language that could be construed as advertising or promotion. This is particularly important, as you are employed by the institute. Please see the conflict of interests guidelines for some helpful advice. I hope you understand why the article was deleted. Please ask me on my talk page if I there's anything I can do to help you out with your future work here. Papa November (talk) 08:45, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
- Hi Saboon, I guess you didn't get chance to read the message above before you recreated the article. Please don't copy copyrighted materials from the web without following these instructions. Thanks, Papa November (talk) 08:50, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
