Thanks for th eds - I was trying to keep the tenrch and deep arts as separate arts (dread someone coming to the subject and trying to join them) as I am hoping to get maps and photos or diagrams that dont have copyright problems...so that both arts are complemented and populated with good info. Beware the ocean articles (indian etc) - the talk pages seem to have geographically challenged persons wanting arguments :( SatuSuro 05:51, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Commercial vessel template
Hello. As you may know, there are a variety of infobox templates used for ocean liners; at least one of which is ill-suited to passenger vessels. As a consequence of a discussion I had with User:Ebyabe at User_talk:Ebyabe#RMS_Queen_Mary, Ebyabe has generously agreed to create a template for passenger vessels. It appears at Template:Infobox Commercial Ship. Its creator needs assistance with the fields for the template. For example, it will need a tonnage field, but would not need a displacement field. Should beam be moulded breadth, or extreme beam? Should length be pp, or oa? Given your interest in this area, would you be willing to particpate in the project? If so, go to Template talk:Infobox Commercial Ship and weigh in. It may be that different templates are needed for passenger ships (gt), freighters (dwt, net), containerships (TEU) and that one size will not fit all. Thanks for your interest. Hi there, Since you've previously removed a {{prod}} tag from Un-Named Carnival Ship, and done a good job at re-writing the article I thought out of courtesy I'd let you know that I've decided to take the article to AfD: you may wish to make your points of view known at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Un-Named Carnival Ship.

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Viper launch tube.jpg)
Thanks for uploading Image:Viper launch tube.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Gundam Wing Mobile Suit Issue
While I like the improvements you are making to the various mobile suit articles to improve the quality in accordance with the rules however the only complaint I have is that the Gallery that you had designed is in the path of the new updated templates which is making the text hard to read so if you can could you find a better place for the gallery.
P.S.: I have also been monitering your changes and have noticed a few spelling errors as well as a few innacurate facts about Sandrock which I carefully cleaned myself as best I could without damaging the quality of that article. -Adv193 08:12, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Well from What I can see is that the articles with the exception of the Altron and Wing Gundam can have the galleries moved below the Notes section which should be out of range of those infoboxes. However the only issue has to do with the Sandrock page and where to range it at unless if it where to be put below the references section because of that articles current size. -Adv193 08:39, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Yeah I figured that since the Shenlong page had not been modified yet and also when you do the move see if you can use the Sandbox to help. -Adv193 08:42, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Well that would work or you can move the coresponding picture to a subarticle such as take a look at my update to the Shenlong article where I moved the Altron picture to the Altron sub-article. However if you wish to try this with the other articles I reccommend that you use the Sandbox to avoid causing any accidental mistakes in your picture moving edits. One other thing is there isn't any need to have two of the same pictures in that article namely two pictures of the new designs. -Adv193 16:28, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Also take a look at the Sandrock article which I used as a test for this new move. -Adv193 16:37, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Maybe Joe Morris is a comedian. We have an article but the second one was too short to remain on the site.
Yeah thats all right I occasionally make spelling and grammatical errors myself unknowningly but I will be on the lookout for any more errors when I observe the changes you make to that article. -Adv193 02:18, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
Anyway here is some advice for your new minor mobile suit page and other tibits that you might need to know
1. The Taurus suits were designed as space type mobile suits and only the Sanc Kingdom models were modified to be used for land combat as well. Noin mentions the modification in Episode 31. 2. Noin did pilot a Piesces mobile suit alongside Sally in Episode 29 I just used my DVD copy to confirm a second Piesces unit next to the one Sally was using. 3. You can still put the Leo and Vigro headings onto that page but instead of a summary you can just put a link that links directly to that article.
Also on a side note in case you should know I also specialize in other Gundam Universes as well and I own the DVD copies of numerous other Gundam shows other than Gundam Wing. -Adv193 17:36, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
Anyway I saw what you did and I appriciate it but he has more more info that will help some of it will come from the Episode Zero manga which I bought a copy of and can use. I would like to see what you think of this information so I would cause an unintenional mistake.
1. Zechs and Trieze both piloted an Aries suit during Relena Peacecrafts story in the Episode Zero manga.
2. The Taurus mobile dolls that the Mariemaia Army used in Endless Waltz are the original OZ colored versions.
3. Noin's Aries unit was colored in a light greenish color.
That's all the information that I think that can be helpful and in case you should know the reason why I added the info on Quatre's page a long time ago that he piloted WMS-03 Maganac Rashid Kurama Custom suit was because he used it in Episode Zero which MAHQ.net can back up this claim. -Adv193 03:13, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
Well the Gundam Wing mobile suit info is just about complete so this should be my last message on the issue but there is still one flaw which I just discovered. Although MAHQ.net states that Heero had piloted an Aries, however the only time that Heero did get into an Aries was when he and Trowa listened in on OZ's transmission about the Alliance Troops in that suit during episode 14 but he did not actually pilot that suit in battle and I could not find any other supporting evidence in when I checked my Episode Zero copy as well. I thought you should know about this. -Adv193 18:25, 21 February 2007 (UTC)
I saw your message in the List of minor mobile suits in Gundam Wing talk page and posted one of my own but anyway I will say that if ever want to work on the character pages for the GW characters then I can help with that but only if it is with Episode Zero as well as Gundam Wing and Endless Waltz. The reason why I am going to tell you this is because not to long ago the Duo Maxwell was cited for not having reliabe references or sources. -Adv193 07:21, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
First I am going to get the opinion of the User who posted the citation issue. -Adv193 17:01, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Well anyway thanks to the hard work it regained it's old position of being ranked as B. -Adv193 02:14, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
Rewrite details
My view is that lists should look list-like rather than table-like, which can be solved with border=0, plus some slight coloration for headers. "Awards" can be given as "Notes", so if no important awards, we can state some other notability factor (important director or actor, top-grossing, historical film, etc). Good work, I like your initiative. I wish more of our film lists could be developed along these lines. Hoverfish Talk 14:59, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
Re:Royal Australian Navy
No worries. The surviving ships will be the Sydney class by the end of the year anyway. --Nick Dowling 07:58, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, I'm not sure. It does in some navies but I don't know if the RAN follows this convention. --Nick Dowling 09:05, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
Sorry, you caught me in the middle of writing it up: the third step is quicker than the second, so I'm afraid I've fallen in the habit of opening step two in a new page, then clicking on the step 3 link and quickly doing that. Not, perhaps, the best plan, but it's usually alright, as long as I don't run into problems phrasing myself. Adam Cuerden talk 08:30, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
- I know. I really shouldn't do it that way, but it does mean I don't have to switch between windows as much while setting it up. Adam Cuerden talk 08:57, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
AfD for Back Dorm Boys
You stated that you would vote Delete unless verifiable evidence of notability is proven. You might want to look at the discussion page now. The number of sources (including some sources' reputations) are certainly enough for you to digest, I presume. -Pandacomics 16:26, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Scout gallery
- Saberwyn, this gallery represents a year and half of very hard work on the part of many dedicated Wikipedians. The original idea (my own, so of course I want to save it) was based on Gallery of sovereign state coats of arms specifically to show the unity, the uniqueness and the local evolution of a very simple emblem to one that represents so much history and pride. This year is the 100th anniversary of Scouting, and I would be happy to implement any changes to save this article. It is no longer just a gallery, and as you say has the potential to be a useful annotated gallery/encyclopedia article. What can we do to make this something able to be kept? Any improvements and suggestions would be most valuable. Chris 05:50, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
Gundam Wing Characters
Now that the Duo Maxwell article had been properly evaluated I am thinking about seeing that the other aticles could be give references as well. Let me know if you think that you are up to it and I'll let you know what I have in mind for the next revision. -Adv193 18:46, 11 March 2007 (UTC)
- Okay let me know when you're ready for that and I'll help you with the sources, as well as let you know who I have in mind for the next change and one other thing you should know is that I wrote a majority of the info on the GW episode page and my objective back then was to write simple summaries with all noteable details and avoid using too much inforation. If you need help with any details let me know. -Adv193 21:45, 11 March 2007 (UTC)

Dashes and hyphens
The edit history on Battle between HMAS Sydney and HSK Kormoran says that on February 5 you changed the dashes (—) to hyphens (-). These not only look different, they have different uses in punctuation. Don't worry, this is just FYI and it is a common mistake, especially among us Aussies for some reason. Grant | Talk 05:46, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Chang Wufei
I noticed that you will be rewriting Wufei's page and to help you a little bit with sourcing and such.
1. In the Operation Meteor chapter of Episode Zero Wufei punched Master O and disowned him when he tried to order Wufei to follow Operation Meteor as it was intended and forget about his wife's death. Also in a later part of that chapter Master Long gave Wufei a small valuable statue of Altron to help pay for supplies which is related to how Wufei was able to buy military bombs in Episode 2 which he used on Noin's base in Episode 4.
If there is not enough information for you to use when the writing the bios on the Episode Guide page on this site then I'll provide more details and attempt to make it as short as possible. -Adv193 05:07, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
Criteria for a Zoids Article
I noticed you deleted my Genotrooper article, however, I don't understand the reason. 'They're not worthy of one unless they had a model of them made'... If anything that seems kind of... Elitest to me... Even so, why has no one written up one for the Lancetag? If anything that was quite possibly the most special model ever made in that a limited edition version of it included a post apocaliptic map of Zi from the time of Zoids Genesis in the box. But the main thing I think should be pointed out is that if someone is willing to post an acurate article of a Zoid, even if it hasn't had a model made, it should be left there. The more info on Zoids, the better. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Specular (talk • contribs) 11:36, 5 April 2007 (UTC).
Hi There
I readded Hand over at the Inquisitor page. I believe Pak removed him. I feel that Pak is a bully who is trying to take over, and that there is no actual discussion. Anyone who has a proper reference and source fits the Wikipedia guidelines. The more intense guidelines are only for characters who have their own pages. The Inquisitor page should include any character that has an article devoted to him, because if Games Workshop felt that the character was important, than those using Wikipedia might be searching for that person.
I also believe that we should scrap some of the discussion pages and start fresh. If there are any votes, to hold them constantly open and allow for opinions to be changed over time. Instead, it seems that Colonel and Pak have tried to take over the Warhammer areas in order to try and claim ownership.
Anyway, its all rather disturbing. Feel free to find my talk page whenever. SanchiTachi 00:33, 17 April 2007 (UTC)

Re: AHS Centaur
You might want to have a look at the references Grant65 and I used in writing Axis naval activity in Australian waters. Battle Surface! by David Jenkins has a very good discussion the sinking of Centaur, including a very fair analysis of the possibility that the sinking wasn't a deliberate war crime and should be very useful to you. A Critical Vulnerability: The impact of the submarine threat on Australia's maritime defence 1915 - 1954 by David Stevens would be invaluable in putting the attack in the context of the Japanese offensive against Australian shipping and if you email the RAN's Sea Power Centre with your address they'll send you a free and high-quality printed copy! (it's a 300-page book so this is a great freebie). The RAN and RAAF official histories are also online at the AWM website and are always great sources to cite. The article is already excellent and I'm looking forward to seeing how you improve it further! --Nick Dowling 10:15, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
- I emailed E-mail address removed to ask whether it was possible to obtain a hard copy and one of the people there responded the next day asking for my address and that's all it took (I found out that hard copies were available and got the email address from: http://www.navy.gov.au/spc/maritimepapers/index.html ). --Nick Dowling 11:51, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
- That looks really, really good. I've fiddled about with it a bit, and have two comments you might want to consider
- I think that the opening para should be split into two paras as the current intruction seems a bit too short (one para on the ship and one on her sinking perhaps?).
- In which year did the Australian government fail to prove at the Tokyo war crimes tribunal that a submarine sank the ship? (the narrative jumps about in time a bit here and you may wish to reorder some bits) --Nick Dowling 10:30, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
- That all looks really great. I'd suggest that you consider nominating it for an A-class review when you're happy with the final article. --Nick Dowling 08:45, 14 May 2007 (UTC)
