[edit]A few pointers:
1. The Wikipedia style for capitalizing headings is to use "sentence case" instead of "title case", e.g.,
- Policies, platforms and initiatives
not:
- Policies, Platforms and Initiatives
Wikipedia has, for better or worse, chosen to follow this style, i.e., capitalize the heading the same way you would capitalize any sentence:
- capitalize the first word,
- capitalize any proper nouns (people, places, organizations), and
- begin all other words with lower case letters.
See WP:MSH for more information.
2. Don`t link Republican and Democrat. If you click through to these links, you`ll see that they aren`t very useful. It is better to pipe the link to the correct article, like this: [[Ohio Republican Party|Republican]].
3. 'He is currently the speaker...' and 'She serves currently as Chairperson...' mean the same thing as 'He is the Speaker...' and 'She serves as Chairperson...', don`t they? 'Currently' in both of these sentences is redundant -- the present tense of the verbs indicate the present state or condition, so there is no need here to use 'currently'.
4. We don`t link years in Wikipedia anymore. People used to do it as a matter of course, but now it is discouraged.
5. The usual heading is 'External links' instead of just 'Links'. Using standard headings helps readers navigate through articles.
I hope this helps. Thank you for your contributions so far, and keep up the good work! Ground Zero | t 03:43, 10 February 2011 (UTC)
Thanks
